Roger Stern is writing the book, which is being drawn by Bruce Timm, a producer of the Batman, Superman, and Batman Beyondanimated series.  Stern is a long-time comics writer and editor, currently sharing the writing credits of The Invincible Iron Man with Kurt Busiek.  No stranger to Marvel history, he was the main creative force behind the too-short-lived Marvel Universe.  Timm, likewise, is known for his love of comics history, and is a noted "King Kirby-phile."

The 32-pager will pit the Avengers' original line-up-- the Mighty Thor, the Invincible Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, plus the Astonishing Ant-Man and the Winsome Wasp--  against what Stern described as "the toughest threat of all!"

The book could arrive as early as late summer.
