Heaven is a wonderful place. It is God's home. The Bible tells us that God loves us so much that he wants us to someday live in Heaven with Him forever. How wonderful to live in a place with no sickness and no death!
Best of all Jesus lives in Heaven. Those who will be with Him will be perfectly happy.
Heaven is a happy place because no sin is there. There is no quarreling, no lying, or any wrong thing.
Here in this world there are many wrong things. God calls all wrong things that we do sin. The Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). God wants us to be in heaven with Him, but if we have sin in our lives, we cannot enter Heaven.
By ourselves we cannot get rid of our sins. We can wash our hands and faces. Our mothers can wash our clothes. But only Jesus can take away our sins.
That is why he died upon the cross. All our sins were laid upon Him and He was punished for us, so that we might be forgiven. Three days after He was buried, he arose from the dead and proved that He has the power to forgive our sins.
Jesus wants to forgive you and come into your life. God's Word tells us, "As many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" (John 1:12).
To receive Jesus means that you ask Him into your life to live and trust Him to forgive all your sins.
Will you receive Jesus as your Saviour? If you will, say something like this: "Dear Father, thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross so that you could forgive me. I want Jesus to come into my life and take away my sins. In Jesus' name. Amen."
If you have received Jesus as your Saviour, you are now God's child. God promises in the Bible always to be with you (Hebrews 13:5). That is important to remember.
Jesus wants you to live to please God. The Bible will help you to know how you can. By reading the Bible and talking to God in prayer you will come to know Him better, and love Him more.
And if you do something wrong, tell God about it. He promises us that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Isn't it wonderful to know that God loves us and cares for us, and that he wants us to have a home with Him in Heaven?
