Brewing Competition

Really odd this time, no rules were published, circulated or discussed, no judges were nominated or volunteered, no time for judging was announced. It happened at the brewing workshop, which I attended, but none of the group I was with noticed any judging happening, including the people who brought brewing competition entries along just in case.

Previous years' criteria, in particular, that of historical accuracy seemed to go out the window with tropical fruit featuring heavily in the meads.

Beautiful Buns

An competition devised by a number of the ladies (ahem!) present at the conferention, aided and abetted by a large number of gentlemen (also ahem!) willing to get their buttocks fondled for the chance of winning (or not, as the case may have been).

Judging of all rounds was done by the ladies in question. In addition to "No clenching", the Eely Manouvre was specifically banned this year. A training session was run the previous night with a sample of veteran contestants demonstrating the difference between normal firmness, clenched and the Eely Manouvre.
