Pei Chee trip to San antonio

My trip to San Antonio with my fraternity March 15 (Sunday) Left Denton at noon. Arrived at San Antonio around 6. San Antonio is located at the south of Texas.It was boring sitting in the car for six hour. We rested a while after checked in to the hotel. The hotel room was not bad but was rather small. Well what do you expect a room fot just $50 per night. i stayed with other 2 girls. I was lucky i choosed that room. More people showed up that night and one room was packed with seven people and one was packed with 6people. The room with seven people had a "snor" battle at night. They blamed each other for disturbing their sleeping. Everybody denied that he snored. Around 7pm we went to san antonio down town to have dinner.

Guess where we went.

We went to Hard Rock Cafe. It was packed with people. We had to wait for an hour to get a table.Well Actually, we had to wait for others before we can have our table and They arrived late. By the time we finished makan, it was already 10.

The brothers who are 21 above decided to go to the bar. we who are still under 21 didn't want to miss the fun, so we went back to the hotel and changed. Then we went to a club (i mean disco) which accept people under 21. It cost me 10 bulks to get into the club just because i am still under 21. we danced untill 2a.m in the morning and went home with smokey smell. yuk!!

March 16 ( monday)

Woke up at 10.00. Changed and waited for others. then we headed to a mexican restaurant to have lunch. Yummmeee The mexican food was delicious. Then we visited the mexican market, shop, shop and shop.

We went to the Alamo , a fort where the Whites had a battle with the Mexicans to conqour Texas. At that time Texas was still a part of Mexico. The original fort was huge. but now the only thing left was the front gate of the fort. San Antonio is famous for its riverwalk. There are bristo, cafe and restaurant set besides the river. It is full of europian atmospher. It is romantic, too. We walked along the river and enjoy the scenic. You can board a boat and sail along the river too. unfortunately we didn't have time to do that. However i did have a fresh brewed coffee beside the river. It was hard to explain the feeling unless you experience it yourself.

At night, we had dinner at a Italian restaurant by the river side. I didn't enjoy the meal much because the service was slow and the waitres seemed didn't care at all. The worst was, i had to pay $6 for the salad.

My Big brother, kevin, gave me a ring that night. Don't miss undertand. He gave me the ring because I did well on the exam. It was a bronze ring with the Greek letters, Delta Sigma Pi carved on it.

March 17 ( Tuesday)

Saint Patrick's Day !! Everyone must wear something green to avoid being pinch. It is a Irish Tradition celebration. Luckily i found something with green to wear on, if not i will be pinched. This was a nice day. Sun Shined whole day. We went to The Seaworld. Seaworld is like a water animal zoo. There were dolphins, whales, otters, sealions, etc. They had a dolphin feeding pond. i feed the dolphin with a fish that i stole from a kid, hehe. the killing whales were beautiful. I love watching the whale's performance. We hang out there for whole day.

This was the last night we stayed in San Antonio, so We went to have Mexican dinner again but not the same restaurant. This restaurant offered discount for student. I only spend $5 and had a great meal.

March 18 ( Wednesday)

Woke up at 9.00 had breakfast at the hotel and left San Antonio around 10 and reached home around 5pm.

I learned a lot from this trip.Americans are picky in choosing food and loging. They also packed a lot for a trip. Especially the girls, they will packed few shoes, differient outfits, they even take hair dryer, pillow, blanket and everything that they can bring with them. Next time, if i have a trip with them again, i will packed a lot to compete with them, heheh.

Though most of the time, we had to wait for everybody and waste a lot of time, I really have a great time on this trip. I was glad i joint the trip.
