PALMERSTON NORTH CITY LIBRARY’S INTERNET POLICY
The core purpose of the Palmerston North City Library is to
inspire people to explore the pathways to the world - Te Ara Whanui o
Te Ao. One of the ways we aim to do this is to provide community
access to a variety of information resources including the Internet.
We think that the Internet is a great source of information and
welcome your use of our service. As an information organisation the
Library also has a commitment to provide users with access to sources
of information in an atmosphere that encourages information sharing
and provides a rich collection of resources. Through the Library’s
Internet connection you have access to the range of resources of the
World Wide Web.
Please be aware that the accuracy and relevance of material found
on the Internet cannot be guaranteed and as a user of this service it
is up to you to decide what is appropriate and to take responsibility
for any data retrieved.
As with all Library materials parents, guardians and care givers
are responsible for their children’s use of the Internet.
