Curriculum
The MBA program requires the following:
a) Completion of 60 credit hours (that is, 20 courses of 3 credit hours). A student will have to take 4 supplementary courses in English and computer. Credit transfers and exemptions may be permitted for relevant courses.
b) Completion of an Internship Program with a minimum grade of C+.
c) Passing of all courses individually and maintaining a minimum CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 2.50.
Internship
The internship is a part of the MBA degree requirement. A student must earn a 2.5 CGPA before placement in the internship program. The internship constitutes a practical program for a student as a preparatory step towards job placement for a fresh student.
The primary goal of internship is to provide an on-the-job exposure to the practical business world and an opportunity for translation of theoretical conceptions into real life situation. Students are placed in enterprises in the public and private sector, research institutions as well as, development projects. The program involves twelve weeks of organizational attachment and two weeks of report finalization. The internship program for a student is usually organized to match the area of concentration and supervised by a faculty member.
Transfer of Credit
Students who are pursuing or have completed MBA courses from any recognized university or institute can apply for transfer of credits on the basis of the following criteria.
I) A student should have achieved at least a C grade (or equivalent) in the course(s) that (s)he wishes to transfer.
II) Before transfer of credits can be confirmed, each course taken at another institution for which credit transfer is requested will be evaluated for its compatibility or equivalence with existing AUB course(s) by the appropriate AUB authority.
III) If the equivalence of the course cannot be ascertained without ambiguity, the student may be given a chance to sit for an examination to qualify for the credits applied for.
