We create our world through the choices we make.

Introduction

The young man walked out into the thicket behind his house. He fathomed himself a masterful gardener and decided that he would take this unsightly area and develop it into a garden that would enhance his property and give some beauty to those who happened to walk this way. As he was about to begin to clear away the brush and unsightly debris he was taken back by the many different aspect of nature which seemed to be screaming that they had something they were about to say. As he began his small journey to change his immediate world little did he realize that it was he that was going to change and grow. The beauty that would be added would not be in the garden but deep within his own life. The value of his life would change greatly as he began to listen to what each of the attributes of nature had to say. He noticed that the very soil he was standing on was very sandy and that the sand itself was trying to speak. He saw a small thorny plant that made him shiver as it cried out about the beauty that it had within. He noticed a drop of water on a blade of grass and was entranced by the sounds that it was trying to make. As he picked up a pebble he could feel its message as he tried to toss it out of his way. The tree that he leaned against began to echo loudly that it should be the first to speak of the lessons that nature had to share. As the light struck his face and he was blinded by its intensity he could feel it's message of hope and the weed he tried to kick out of his way vibrated with a roar of you had better listen to me. As he slipped slowly to ground to try and fathom what was happening to him, his attention was drawn to the leaf that slowly floated to the ground and as it touch his hand he could feel it whisper of it importance in life. As the seed pod floated by he realized that it had a massage to which he need to listen. His life was about to change, and he would never be the same again, but even more important neither would this little thicket behind his home. He sat upon a mound of grass which vibrated with a chant of give me a chance. He leaned back against the tree and placed his head in his hands to try and understand what was happening to him. As he began to meditate on his surroundings he felt himself slip into a state of sleep and began to dream that each and every thing about him had a soul of its very own with truth to speak and hope to add to mankind if he would only look beyond himself. He was about to begin a journey that would touch his very soul and he would never see anything quite the same again.
