Ten Ways to Irritate Visitors to Your Web Site:

Have really cluttered pages that load slowly

If the page is cluttered people get frustrated and will not return

Use large graphics that load slowly

If the graphic loads slowly, people have a tendency to leave the site

Use busy backgrounds

If the background makes it difficult to see what is on the page you loose the interest of the viewer

Use white lettering and long pages

White lettering is difficult to read on many backgrounds and usually will not print.
Long pages loose the interest of the viewer

Require plug-ins

If your site requires plug-ins viewers become frustrated and go else where. Some plug-ins are acceptable.

Make your site difficult to find your information

If people can not find the information that your provided they will loose interest.

Have lots of links under construction

It is annoying to click on a linking page and find that it is under construction. You loose the viewer completely if they find several pages under construction. Don’t list the pages until they are constructed.

Don’t make a way for people to contact you

If the viewer has a related question and can’t find a way to contact you they will go else where.

Don’t update your content

If the content is out of date, viewers will not return.

Use frames

Frames become annoying and make it next to impossible to bookmark a page of interest on your site.
