Episode 4

"Ami's Friend"

And yet another sunny day. Ami walks out of the school with many books. She walks toward a bench where she places them, she sits next to the pile of books and begins to read.

Ami: I just love sunny days, it's so peaceful, I could read all day..

Some Guy: (whispering) hey, looket, that person looks like she's rich

Other Guy: hmm… yeah, heh heh, let's move

The two guys walk behind the bench. Ami sees two shadows peer over her. She slowly turns around. She looks at the two guys, they both have black hair, brown eyes, and both are around six feet tall, each of them smiling devilishly.

Ami: can I help you?

The Guy: uh yeah.. we need to borrow some money

Other Guy: yeah, so, just give us everything ya got, I'll count it later

Ami: no! go away!

Other Guy: ok, we're going to have to do this the hard way

Some Man: I don't think so, sirs

Both of the guys look behind them. The man they see stands 6 feet tall, with brown hair and black sunglasses. He wears a white dress shirt, and khaki pants.

Other Guy: (whispering to the other guy) hey, it's the fuzz... he could be an undercover cop

The Guy: (whispering) damn it

Other Guy: um.. sorry office.. I mean, uh, sir.. heh.. I don't know what I was..

The Guy: just run stupid ass!

Other Guy: ahh! (runs away)

The Guy: wait for me! (runs away)

The Man: the fuzz? (looks at Ami) Ami… is that you?

Ami: huh? who are you? (gets up)

The Man: (takes off his sunglasses revealing his blue eyes)

Ami: oh! it can't be..

The Man: here this will remind you (puts his hand on the back of his head and shows her his ponytail)

Ami: Kyuuichirou... I haven't seen you in years (walks up to him) and you still have that ponytail… tell me, why did you grow it?

Kyuuichirou: no reason

Ami: but you will tell me one day, right?

Kyuuichirou: yeah, I will

Ami: where have you been? where did you go?

Kyuuichirou: I did a little traveling

Ami: what did you do?

Kyuuichirou: um, I didn't do much, I traveled all around Japan, and China, and I almost visited Europe

Ami: it must have been exciting

Kyuuichirou: it sure was, you would have loved it

Ami: yeah? so, um.. how are your parents?

Kyuuichirou: (looks down a little) well um.. they're ok..

Ami: [every time I asked him that question before, he always looked sad... I just know something's wrong with his parents] well, that's good… my goodness, I still can't believe it's you.. you were small when we first met.. now you're all tall

Kyuuichirou: I sure am glad that I met you again

Ami begins to hug Kyuuichirou and he hugs back. Usagi, Minako, and Rei start walking to the school.

Usagi: I can't believe Ami stays after school so much

Rei: oh, Usagi, there's more to life than TV, shopping, and Sailor V comics

Minako: well, shopping is a necessity

Usagi: yep! it sure is, so is eating and as soon as we pick up Ami, we'll go get something to eat

Rei: don't forget, we also have to stop by Kinoko-chan's school… so forget about eating

Usagi: oh yeah, Mako-chan went to pick her up from detention

Minako: {gasp} I can't believe it!

Usagi: what? there's nothing wrong with having detention

Rei: {gasp} oh my..

Usagi: what are you talking about? what are you looking at?

Rei: (points to where Ami is)

Usagi: what?! Ami? she's with that guy?

Ami: hey, there are my friends

Kyuuichirou: huh? where?

Ami: over there

Kyuuichirou: hmm, they look stunned

Ami: hey guys! come over here! I want you to meet someone!

Rei: hhu. hhuh?

Usagi: snap out of it, let's meet him

Minako: ohh... just look at him

Usagi: let's go

Rei: ok… I wonder if Ami's going out with him

Usagi, Rei, and Minako walk up to Ami and Kyuuichirou.

Kyuuichirou: hi, I'm Kyuuichirou

Minako: hh.. hi I'm Minako

Rei: I'm.. I'm.. Rei

Usagi: I'm Usagi

Ami: Kyuuichirou was one of my best friends, we both went to elementary together

Minako: so.. so you're friends?

Kyuuichirou: yeah

Minako: hee hee

Rei: huh.. so.. um, where do you go to school?

Kyuuichirou: I will be going here, Juuban High

Minako: hey, that's where we go to school... except for Rei

Ami: did you just enroll in school?

Kyuuichirou: yeah

Usagi: so you just enrolled?

Kyuuichirou: yes, I just came back from traveling

Usagi: wow, that must have been fun

Kyuuichirou: oh, it was…

Ami: hey, where's Mako-chan?

Usagi: hmm? oh, she went to pick up Kinoko

Minako: that's right

Kyuuichirou: are they your friends too?

Ami: yeah, I'll introduce you to them later

Rei: hey, Kyuuichirou, you wanna go get something to drink?

Usagi: what? I thought

Rei: (puts her hand on Usagi's mouth) heh heh..

Kyuuichirou: sorry, I'm going to check out the school for awhile, I want to see the whole school

Rei: well, that's ok, maybe some other time Kyuuichirou?

Kyuuichirou: sure, well, I'm gonna go to the library, bye Usagi, bye Minako, bye Rei, bye Ami-chan

Ami: bye Kyuu-chan

Kyuuichirou start off into the school building.

Minako: Ami, are you sure you're just "friends" with him?

Ami: yeah

Rei: with someone like him?

Usagi: really Ami, you should go out with him

Ami: what? no, we're just good friends, nothing more

Minako: he's free? goodie

Rei: I wonder what he likes...

Usagi: just wait for Mako-chan, I wonder how she would react

Minako: same as usual, "he looks like my old boyfriend" etc. etc.

Usagi: heh, she'll never change... hey, let's go get something to eat

Rei: not now

Usagi: but you wanted to...

Ami: I think I'll go home, and catch up on my reading. I'll see you guys later

Rei: bye Ami-chan

Usagi: bye Ami

Minako: bye

Ami: bye

Ami sets off for home with her many books. Usagi starts off for the Junior High school.

Rei: where are you going Usagi?

Usagi: I'm going to see Mako-chan and Kinoko, they might want to go eat something

Minako: I think I'll go too

Rei: ok, I'll go too

Usagi: geez, you sure did change your mind fast

Usagi, Minako, and Rei head for the junior high school.

Kinoko: thanks for waiting for me Mako-chan

Makoto: its alright, you know you should try to keep yourself awake during class

Kinoko: I know but… well, I'll try heh heh

Kinoko and Makoto start to walk toward Juuban High School.

Makoto: I have to meet up with everyone at the school

Kinoko: ohh! more school?

Makoto: you don't have to come Kinoko-chan

Kinoko: well, I do have to study for class

Makoto: you sure do study a lot don't you?

Kinoko: well, um, sometimes

Makoto: heh heh, maybe you can get Ami to help you with your studies

Kinoko: oh.. nah, I wouldn't want to bother her

Akira: Kinoko-chan!!!! wait up!!

Kinoko: oh god, it's him..

Makoto: huh? (turns around) him? what.. you like him?

Kinoko: no! no! he's a pest.. ugh

Akira: (runs up to Kinoko) hey Kinoko-chan! you miss me??

Kinoko: no!

Akira: yeah, sure

Makoto: (looks at him) hello, I'm Makoto

Akira: hi, I'm Akira, Kinoko-chan's man

Kinoko: Akira, shut up and go away!

Makoto: well, I don't want to get in your way

Kinoko: no, don't leave me here with him

Makoto: sorry, I can't help you here

Makoto walks off without Kinoko to the high school.

Kinoko: cripes...

Akira: hey Kinoko.. can I walk you home?

Kinoko: (sarcastically) how about you walk me to your house, and when you're not looking, I hit you on the head with a brick

Akira: heh hee-uh, your pretty funny.. you lead the way!

Kinoko: yeah, whatever

Akira: to your house!

Kinoko: (whispering to herself) yeah, sure, if that's what it takes to shut you up..

Akira: sorry, I didn't hear you... I was paying attention to.. I mean, I was too busy staring into space.. heh.. I covered that up pretty well.. [wait, did I said that out loud?] my brain! damn TV!!!

Kinoko: moron

At the high school, Makoto sits on a bench, waiting for Ami, Usagi, Minako, and Rei.

Makoto: {sigh} man, where are they? maybe Ami's in the school.. and where's Usagi? and Minako? and Rei?

She starts to close her eyes, and sits back. Then, she opens her eyes and looks up into the bright sky.

Makoto: I'm probably the only person at the school now, I guess I'll just go home

Makoto closes her eyes, yawns, then stretches her legs out. Then someone trips over her legs.

Makoto: ack!

The Person: ahh!

Makoto: I'm sorry, I didn't see you

The Person: (begins to get up) it's alright (brushes himself off)

Makoto: let me help you

The Person: no need

Makoto: hmm, nice ponytail

The Person: thanks (turns around)

Makoto: (looks at him with quiet awe) [{gasp} wow, he's cute... I wonder who he is..]

The Person: (looks at her) uh.. hi

Makoto: hi.. my name is Makoto.. but everyone calls me Mako..

Kyuuichirou: my name is Kyuuichirou.. some people call me Kyuu-chan

Makoto: I'm sorry for tripping you

Kyuuichirou: actually, that's ironic.. I just came from a trip.. not now, I mean I just uh.... I was traveling for a while.. well you know [ugh…]

Makoto: (giggles) so, you new here?

Kyuuichirou: yeah, I just enrolled in school

Makoto: that's good... [ohhh.. I wish he would ask me out]

Kyuuichirou: uh, would you like to go get a drink?

Makoto: [eep] huuh? oh.. yeah sure

Kyuuichirou: I was so busy today, I haven't had time to eat or drink anything

Makoto: well… I know a good place, just follow me

Kyuuichirou: ok

Makoto starts off to the restaurant, and Kyuuichirou follows her.

Kyuuichirou: (looks behind himself) hmm [I sense something.. what is it? I better watch out]

He continues to walk by Makoto's side. Just behind them, a bush starts to shuffle, three heads pop out, Usagi's, Rei's and Minako's.

Usagi: you see that?!

Rei: oh man! she got with him first!

Minako: lucky

Usagi: let's follow them, and see what they're doing

Rei: ok, but try not to be noticeable

Usagi: don't worry, they won't notice me

Minako: ok, let's go

They begin to follow Makoto and Kyuuichirou.

Luna and Artemis start to pace around Usagi's bedroom. Luna jumps onto Usagi's bed.

Luna: where is she?

Artemis: probably pigging out

Luna: Artemis!

Artemis: you never know

Luna: I'm just worried, those monsters and that ninja... they could be attacking at any time

Artemis: if they could persuade that ninja to be on our side, we wouldn't have to worry

Luna: I know

Artemis: they are capable of taking care of themselves Luna, even Usagi

Luna: I have to stop worrying so much about them

Artemis: yeah... you'll go gray.. then you'll look like me! ha ha!

Luna: (stares at Artemis)

Artemis: heh heh...

Akira: you know what Kinoko-chan?

Kinoko: you're leaving?!

Akira: har har.. no woman

Kinoko: (looks at him with angry eyes)

Akira: when you..

Kinoko: I thought I told you to shut up!

Akira: you're so cute when you're angry

Kinoko: blah blah

Akira: let's go out, tonight, on a date

Kinoko: oh yeah, sure! and I'll wear a dress so scantily clad that you'll melt, and then I'll scrape you off the floor, cook you and feed you to starving dogs!

Akira: you have a good imagination

Kinoko: Akira.. why do you bother me so much?

Akira: because, you're my woman

Kinoko: eww

Akira: you really want "eww"? I'll make you go "eww" and more

Kinoko: I am being punished

Akira: no you're not

Kinoko: am too

Akira: are not

In a Chevy, Leo's driving down the road, half recklessly.

Leo: nuttin like a good sandwich to fill you up! (takes a bite out of a sub) iv guu fit.. {gulp} (looks toward the sidewalk, spotting Kyuuichirou and Makoto near a restaurant) well I'll be jiggered..

Makoto: this is it

Kyuuichirou: huh? (watches Leo pass by)

Makoto: (looks at Leo) [what's he doing?]

Driver Behind Leo: hey {honk} go faster moron!

Leo: call me moron huh? (reaches into the glove compartment.. then it breaks off) damn Chevy.. dammit, I just remembered I don't even have it with me.. but what can I do?.... (flicks the guy off)

Leo starts to drive faster.

Kyuuichirou: well that was interesting

Makoto: it sure was

Kyuuichirou: (opens the restaurant door) after you

Makoto: thanks (walks in)

Kyuuichirou follows her. Usagi, Rei and Minako run up to the door just as it closes. They start to whisper to each other.

Usagi: ok let's go in

Rei: no, we can't, they'll see us

Minako: look, they're at a window table

Usagi: uh oh, they might see us

Rei: duck down

Usagi: (ducks down) now what?

Rei: (ducks) we gotta hear what they're saying

Minako: (ducks) how?

In the restaurant, Kyuuichirou and Makoto wait. They sit across from each other.

Makoto: I hope they don't take long

Kyuuichirou: I don't think they will, there aren't many people here to serve

Makoto: yeah, that's right

Outside, Usagi, Minako and Rei hide right below the window where Makoto and Kyuuichirou sit.

Usagi: what are they saying?

Minako: I'm not too sure

Rei: quiet down! they might hear us

Minako: shh! quiet Rei..

Usagi: if we're too loud, we can't listen to what they're saying

Inside, the waiter places a slice of cherry pie next to Makoto, and he gives Kyuuichirou a vanilla shake.

Makoto: mmm, that looks good

Kyuuichirou: yeah, it sure does

-outside

Usagi: did she just say "him look good"?

Rei: shh!

-inside

Kyuuichirou: (sips the shake) mmm, it tastes as good as it looks

Makoto: so does this pie

Kyuuichirou: (looks outside the window) [I have a feeling I'm being watched]

Makoto: so.. you said you were traveling, right?

Kyuuichirou: yeah, I've been around Japan and China.. it was beautiful

-outside

Minako: did he just call her beautiful?

Usagi: he did?

Rei: quiet, they might hear you

-inside

Makoto: do your parents travel a lot?

Kyuuichirou: (looks down some) uh... well, I..

Makoto: is something wrong?

Kyuuichirou: no… not really (looks outside the window)

Usagi, Rei, and Minako peer into the window. They look at Kyuuichirou.

Kyuuichirou: [what!? what are they doing?] (looks toward Makoto and smiles) heh heh..

Makoto: hmm? (eats the rest of her pie, then looks outside the window)

Usagi, Rei and Minako look at Makoto.

Makoto: [what are they doing!?] uh.. I gotta go do something.. I'll be right back

Kyuuichirou: ok..

Makoto leaves, and Kyuuichirou turns toward Usagi, Minako and Rei.

Kyuuichirou: what are you doing?!

Rei: now look, he spotted us

Usagi: let's go

Minako: ok

They start to walk away, then they run into Makoto.

Usagi: uh oh..

Minako: hello

Makoto: why are you spying on me?

Rei: ask Usagi

Usagi: what?!

Minako: well.. um..

Usagi: we're sorry..

Makoto: hmm, heh heh.. apology accepted

Usagi: thanks Mako-chan, I promise I'll never do it again

Makoto: come on, I'll introduce you to Kyuuichirou

Rei: well.. we already..

Suddenly two monsters jump down in front of the restaurant.

Makoto: oh no! monsters… Kyuu-chan!

Usagi: we gotta help him

Rei: let's transform

Minako: we should get everyone here first

Makoto: no time…

Rei: MARS CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE UP!

Makoto: JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE UP!

Minako: VENUS CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE UP!

Usagi: MOON ETERNAL, MAKE UP!

In the restaurant, Kyuuichirou spots the monsters outside. Then people start to run outside and scream.

Kyuuichirou: oh no! where's Mako-chan?

Waiter: ahhh! there are monsters everywhere!

Kyuuichirou: (looks toward the waiter) what?!

A monster bursts out of the ceiling, then it grabs the waiter.

Kyuuichirou: I gotta help him (runs toward the monster)

Monster 1: move it!

Kyuuichirou: let him go!

Monster 1: ha! (throws a punch at him)

Kyuuichirou: (dodges the punch quickly) I said let him go!

Monster 1: never (gathers energy, then shoots out a bolt of energy at him)

Kyuuichirou: (watches as the beam approaches quickly, then disappears and reappears in front of the monster, kicking it in the head, making it let go of the waiter)

Waiter: thank you very much!! where did you learn to do that?

Kyuuichirou: I learned it from the best… now go!

The waiter runs out of the building. Outside, the senshi are getting ready to face the monsters.

Waiter: (comes out of the restaurant) huh? ahh! more monsters!

Eternal Sailor Moon: run now!

Waiter: (runs away)

Monster 2: heh heh.. (flies up, then flies toward the waiter)

Sailor Mars: no you don't... MARS, FLAME SNIPER!!

Mars' attack just misses the monster. Then the monster grabs the waiter.

Sailor Venus: no!

Monster 3: yes! ha! ha! ha!

Sailor Jupiter: I'll kill you! (runs toward the monster)

Eternal Sailor Moon: be careful!

Monster 3: heh heh

-inside

Monster 1: yaa! (throws fast punches at Kyuuichirou)

Kyuuichirou: (dodges the punches, then jumps over the monster, grabbing its shoulders, flipping it over his head and kneeing the monster's neck on his knee) yaaa! (jumps up and charges up some energy and shoots a bolt of energy at the monster) haa!

Monster 1: ahh!

Kyuuichirou: that's a taste of your own medicine

Monster 1: grr.. agh.. I can't get up.. grrr!

Kyuuichirou: heh.. (turns around) huh? (looks out the window, watching another monster fight a girl in a green sailor suit) green sailor suit.. I remember seeing that person… fighting monsters, and that was the same day.. my power grew

The Dark Voice: that was a while back..

Kyuuichirou: that voice (turns around)

The Dark Voice: (red eyes light up) heh heh

Kyuuichirou: who are you! show yourself!

The Dark Voice: heh heh

Kyuuichirou: those monsters were your monsters [what if he got Makoto?] what do you want?!

The Dark Voice: to kill you

Kyuuichirou: you won't get far

The Dark Voice: oh, but I am getting far... ATTACK!

Monster 4: yaa! (jumps toward Kyuuichirou)

Kyuuichirou: ok

The monster lands in front of Kyuuichirou, then the monster tries to grab him. Kyuuichirou flips over the monster, lands on his feet then jump kicks the monster, knocking it out the window.

The Dark Voice: no! I can't let the sailors see the chosen one

Kyuuichirou: chosen what?

Outside, the monster that gets knocked out of the restaurant, hits the monster Jupiter was fighting.

Monster 3: ahh! (gets knocked down)

Sailor Jupiter: huh?

Sailor Venus: who did that?

Sailor Mars: I'll check it out (runs toward the broken window)

Sailor Jupiter: (looks at the monsters) JUPITER, OAK EVALUTION

Monster 3 & 4: AHHH!!!

Sailor Mars peers into the window. Inside, there are broken tables, and glass everywhere.

Sailor Mars: where's Kyuuichirou?

Eternal Sailor Moon: Mars

Sailor Mars: what?

Eternal Sailor Moon: see anyone?

Sailor Mars: no

Sailor Jupiter: hey, I finished the monster off, I gotta find Kyuuichirou

Sailor Venus: well guess what?

Sailor Jupiter: what?

The Ninja: well, if it isn't the senshi

Sailor Mars: huh?

Sailor Jupiter: it's the ninja

Eternal Sailor Moon: oh no

Sailor Venus: (whispering) guys, let's try to get him on our side

Eternal Sailor Moon: oh yeah

The Ninja: now I will kill one of you... who will it be?

Eternal Sailor Moon: (walks toward the ninja) no

Sailor Mars: we won't fight you (follows Sailor Moon)

Sailor Jupiter: yeah (follows Mars)

Sailor Venus: (follows Jupiter) we don't want to fight you

The Ninja: is that so?

Eternal Sailor Moon: (steps up to the ninja) yes

Sailor Jupiter: (walks next to Sailor Moon) you've been brain washed

Sailor Mars: by the Master

Sailor Venus: we can help you

The Ninja: what? brain washed? you're lying

Eternal Sailor Moon: no, we know you're good

Sailor Jupiter: I know you won't hurt us

Sailor Mars: let us help you

The Ninja: no!!! (grabs his head in pain) NO!! aghhh!!

Sailor Venus: we want to help you, we don't want to be your enemy

The Ninja: agh!! (slowly grabs his katana with his right hand, then raises it above Sailor Moon) must kill!!

Eternal Sailor Moon: go ahead (closes her eyes)

The Ninja: ahh!! yaa!!

{ching}

The ninja strikes the ground with his sword. He is on his knees, breathing hard.

Sailor Mars: you did it!

Sailor Jupiter: way to go Sailor Moon!

Sailor Venus: (kneels down beside the ninja) you ok?

The Ninja: {gasp} what happened?

Eternal Sailor Moon: you were brain washed by the Master

The Ninja: the Master?

Sailor Jupiter: (kneels down next to him) everything's going to be ok

Sailor Mars: yeah, you need some rest

Eternal Sailor Moon: umm, what's your name?

The Ninja: me? I.. don't know..

The Dark Voice: (echoing) and you never will

The Ninja: who is it?

Sailor Jupiter: [that voice..]

Sailor Venus: hey, uh, ninja.. are you "the chosen one"?

The Ninja: who?

The Dark Voice: don't get attached to him... he will be gone soon

The Ninja: what?

Sailor Jupiter: we won't let him take you

Sailor Mars: we promise

The ninja start to float up. The senshi start to grab ahold of him.

Eternal Sailor Moon: no!

Sailor Venus: leave him alone!

Sailor Jupiter: you better let him go!

The Dark Voice: never... the Holy Light cannot be born!

Eternal Sailor Moon: Holy Light?

Sailor Jupiter: what's that?

The Ninja: just let me go

Sailor Mars: no, we can't

The Ninja: if he brain washes me.. I'm sure you can get me back

The senshi let go of him, then the ninja disappears.

The Dark Voice: excellent choice, you're next senshi ha! ha! ha! the Master will live and Crystal Tokyo will die!!!

Eternal Sailor Moon: what?!

Sailor Mars: no!!!

Sailor Jupiter: damn it!! we shouldn't have let him go!!

Sailor Venus: Crystal Tokyo? is that guy from the future?

Sailor Jupiter: he didn't even show his face

Eternal Sailor Moon: he's going to destroy Crystal Tokyo…

Sailor Mars: what is the Holy Light?

Sailor Jupiter: {gasp} we gotta find Kyuuichirou! I hope he's safe

Sailor Venus: Kyuuichirou… oh no!

Eternal Sailor Moon: Ami would be upset if she found out he was missing

Sailor Jupiter: what?!

Sailor Venus: when you went to pick up Kinoko, we met Kyuuichirou

Sailor Jupiter: you did?

Eternal Sailor Moon: yeah, Kyuuichirou is Ami's friend

Sailor Jupiter: he is?

Sailor Venus: let's go home, we'll explain everything... then you can explain what you did with Kyuuichirou!

The Master: what happened?

The Dark Voice: we have to get control of the "chosen one" again

The Master: and why is that?

The Dark Voice: the senshi got though to him

The Master: hmm, so they did…

The Dark Voice: we must get stronger warriors to fight the senshi as well, we also have gained plenty of energy

The Master: good and we cannot afford stronger warriors until I return

The Dark Voice: but we must stop using humans to fight the senshi, many of them are weak, their true power levels are limited

The Master: reincarnate the ones the senshi destroyed and fuse them together, they should become stronger

The Dark Voice: yes, Master

The Master: and make sure that the ninja destroys at least one of the senshi… actually, I've changed my mind once more… make him destroy all of them

The Dark Voice: yes Master

The Master: (fades away)

The Dark Voice: [the Master's plan will not pull through if he makes that ninja destroy the senshi... but when he fails, I will kill them once and for all!]

Kinoko: go away Akira

Akira: come on! let me in your house!

Kinoko: no!

Akira: oh.. alright, but one day!

Kinoko: (slams the door) what is it with him!

The phone begins to ring. Kinoko runs into her room, then she answers the phone.

Kinoko: hello?

Mr. Takumi: hello dear

Kinoko: daddy!!

Mr. Takumi: how are you? How's school?

Kinoko: everything's ok, how are you?

Mr. Takumi: I'm still working

Kinoko: you are? ohh! when are you coming home?

Mr. Takumi: I'm not too sure hon' but, I will come home soon

Kinoko: (pushes a red button on a box connected to the phone) how soon?

Mr. Takumi: as soon as possible

Kinoko: daddy! don't you know an exact date?

Mr. Takumi: no, but as soon as I'm done, I'll be home

There is a soft beeping noise that comes out of the gray box. The box which is attached to the phone has a small matrix screen in the middle. The box is about 5" x 4". On the small screen there is a message blinking that says "connecting".

Mr. Takumi: what's that beeping noise?

Kinoko: uh, my alarm

Mr. Takumi: you're alarm is louder than that

Kinoko: uh.. when I woke up a couple of days ago.. I kinda hit it [swish]

Mr. Takumi: don't bring down the house, heh heh

Kinoko: (smiles) I won't (looks at the box)

Mr. Takumi: well, I gotta go

Kinoko: ohh.. more work?

Mr. Takumi: yeah, but I will come home soon, I promise.. besides, I miss your home cooked meals

Kinoko: my cooking ain't that good

Mr. Takumi: heh heh, I'll talk to you later, ok?

Kinoko: ok (looks at the box)

Mr. Takumi: I miss you

Kinoko: me too daddy

Mr. Takumi: bye

Kinoko: (in a faint voice) bye

They both hang up at about the same time. Kinoko pauses for a while, then looks at the small gray box.

Kinoko: no number… who's making you work daddy?

The stars come out, the sky goes dark, the whole city is lit up. At the temple, Usagi, Rei, Minako, and Makoto sit around.

Usagi: geez, Luna was mad when I got home

Minako: what for?

Usagi: I don't know… she's always mad for no reason

Rei: {sigh} I wonder where Kyuuichirou is?

Makoto: me too, I hope those monsters didn't get him

Minako: they better haven't

Usagi: {yawn} I'm sure he's ok

Makoto: I hope so

Minako: you gonna go out with him Mako-chan?

Makoto: I'd love too.. he's seems nice..

Ami starts to walk up the steps of the temple.

Usagi: hey Ami!!!

Rei: hi Ami

Minako: how's it goin'?

Makoto: what's up?

Ami: nothing really

Behind Ami, is Kyuuichirou.

Makoto: Kyuu-chan!

Kyuuichirou: Mako-chan..

Ami: Kyuu-chan told me what happened

Kyuuichirou: when those monsters started to attack, I tried looking for you guys

Minako: yeah? we tried looking for you

Usagi: well, we're glad you're safe

Kyuuichirou: I'm glad you all are safe too

Ami sits down with everyone, and Kyuuichirou sits down next to Ami.

Ami: Mako-chan, where's Kinoko?

Makoto: she should be home

Usagi: so Kyuu-chan, tomorrow you're going to our school right?

Kyuuichirou: yeah, I just can't wait to start, I hope I can be as good as Ami

Usagi: I'd like to be as good as Ami too

Rei: you might, if you studied

Usagi: study? oh, I hate studying

Minako: don't start fighting

Kyuuichirou: Rei and Usagi fight a lot?

Makoto: yeah, you'd think they were sisters

Kyuuichirou: that's interesting

Makoto: heh heh

Usagi: I don't fight with her, she just picks on me

Rei: do not

Usagi: do too

Minako: guys, stop fighting

Makoto: well, I gotta go home, I want to make sure Kinoko's alright

Usagi: that sounds like a good idea, I need to go to sleep

Everyone begins to go home. Makoto starts off to her apartment.

Makoto: (looks behind herself) huh? Kyuu-chan?

Kyuuichirou: hi

Makoto: where are you headed?

Kyuuichirou: toward the apartments

Makoto: you live there too?

Kyuuichirou: I guess so

They both walk to the apartment building together. Both are quiet as they walk. Finally, they arrive at the apartments. Kyuuichirou follows Makoto to her apartment.

Makoto: this is my apartment, next door is Kinoko

Kyuuichirou: you know, I live right above her

Makoto: maybe you'll meet her tomorrow

Kyuuichirou: yeah

Makoto: well, good night

Kyuuichirou: good night

Makoto: (opens her door, then walks in) bye (waves her hand, then closes the door)

Kyuuichirou: bye

Kyuuichirou starts to walk to his apartment, slowly.
