Why did they not deny it?   
That the men were fraught with shame,  
when Jesus was arrested  
Had their belief all been in vain?  
 

        Why did the men deny it?
        When a woman was the witness
        Who told of the empty tomb. 

Why did they not deny it?
The truth that the women were first.
The ones to see the empty tomb,
To feel the fear and joy.

  
Why did they not deny it?  
The truth that a woman was the first.  
The first to see the risen Christ,  
The one to call him Lord.
