The Easternmost ray, that in [the park] is anchored first, proceeding to the ray between the first point and the one on [the] Hwy. The rays are traced in sequence, sunwise, the final one resting near [the stadium].
The working orientation of the six-rayed star is this: The East point is assigned to Saturn, for there the cycle is begun and ended. As Sun holds the center of the figure, the first rays of dawn are seen to enter the great circle and proceed sunwise, thus the next point is attributed to Moon, the [highway] point to Mars, the next point to Mercury, the Butte position to Jove, the next to Venus and the last, the Park postion, is ruled by Saturn. This position could also be called the Gate Position, as Saturn can be said to have that function here.
Ceremonial Components:1: Hymn to the Sun (A.S.) Alternate which person does this, three for one and three for the other, not regarding who begins or ends. At the center, the salutation is made in unison.
2: Planetary remarks (2) Place stake, but do not drive it.
"Let this place be sacred unto the Moon, beloved daughter of the Sun. We trespass here only to give praise and honor to thee! Let thy swelling and subsiding vision call the tides of the universe!"
"Let this place be sacred unto Mars, fiery brother of the Sun. We trespass here only to give praise and honor to thee! Let thy enthusiasm, resulution and comraderie enflames the passions of the heavens!"
"Let this place be sacred unto Mercury, healer and magus, child of the Sun. We trespass here only to give praise and honor to thee! Let thy quick and clever gesture summon the might of the worlds!"
"Let this place be sacred unto Jupiter, wisest of the Sun. We trespass here only to give praise and honor to thee! Let thy judicious and jovial wisdom fanfare the court of Creation!"
"Let this place be sacred unto Saturn, eldest child of the Sun. We trespass here only to give praise and honor to thee! Let thy sturdy and timely pace give rythm and meaning to the days of our time!"
"This place is sacred unto itself, sacred also unto the beloved sun, Father of All. We gather here the balance of the celestial family--thine and mine--that we may give praise unto the harmony that accompanies us on our journmey through the heavens. Let our machinations be reflected in the mirror of the sosmos and in the depths of the spirit. We call it all to dance.
At this juncture, determine the North point of the star and visualize a chord to be drawn to the Park point. Use a brass bell or other battery to count six in a manner consistent with one's heartbeat while imagining the connection being made. Repeat this to [the highway] point and for going back to the Butte point. Start the other triangle in the place opposite the butte point and proceed sunwise. Keep the previously drawn lines in mind, resting to visualize when neccessary.
3. Drive stake. In last case, remove and cover key.
4. Travel and intermediary visualizations--do not visualize the work as a connected pattern just yet. Rather, keep these pionts in mind as tho' they were great lights or fires placed upon high places as warnings, wards or somesuch. In the center, at the time of activation, it is the principal visualization to bring about the actual connectedness of these points.
I'd thought it would be a grand thing to take along a music machine with an appropriate selection of music, playing throughout, but I don't know as though time will permit this.
OTHER NOTES:The events of Sunday, the 15th of June will comprise only the construction phase of the project. At a point near the Summer's solstice we will hold a rite for energizing the device. This rite, or a variation thereupon should be performed at other dates as well.
This first rite would basically mimic the hexagram of invoking in Sol as outlined by the Golden Dawn. As an aside, if there came to exist a reason for removing or disabling the device, the banishing in Sol would set the format. This rite places the participants first at that point which will determine the essential slant of the working and having the party proceed sunwise about that triangle until arriving at the starting point whereupon the party will proceed to the opposite point and do likewise.
The 1st rite's starting point should be at Saturn, finishing at the [West] point. The second rite should begin at Jupiter and end at the Butte, etc.
So much the better if these rites were performed on the day of the planet and at the hour of the Sun.
The rite would consist of the following:0. Preparatory exercises. Suggest middle-pillar, the calyx or the variant given in D& P's Planetary Magick. Rather than erecting a circle, a visualization is undertaken:
After establishing rythmic breath, strike a small battery such that the breath can comfortably timed at 6-6-6-6. Imagine the hexagram laid out before you. Upon signal, and at the inhale, imagine that one is walking the line from one's place of origin to the next point. One sees oneself or one's party pass through the air as though walking on the imaginary line of light that would connect the physical markers causing the faint line to strengthen and wax brighter behind. While holding for six, get your bearings for the next hike and make this trip on the exhale. On the hold, get your bearings for the point of origin and on the inhale make the trek there. Upon this hold, one must imagine one's party whisked instantly to the opposite point of the diagram and upon the exhale proceeding to the next sunwise point and proceeding accordingly until the last point is reached where the astral party awaits the physical party's arrival. Needless to say, once this is begun, it should be continued until the end. That breath pattern is this:
IN.............from first point to second
HOLD........Get bearings upon 3rd, strengthening line
OUT..........from 2nd to 3rd
HOLD........Get bearings upon 1st, strengthening line
IN..............from 3rd to 1st
HOLD........teleport to 4th
OUT...........from 4th to 5th
HOLD........Get bearings upon 6th, strengthening line
IN...............from 5th to 6th
HOLD.........Get bearings upon 4th, strengthening line
OUT............from 6th to 4th

1: Battery: 3
2: An offering appropriate to the planet and the circumstance is brought along and is revealed at this time, while an orison, not unlike the one that follows, is uttered:
"Lofty and chill Saturn, Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, crystallizing and solidifying our work here within this land. May your unerring and firm structure make our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. Wise and most ancient of gods, hail!"
Or somesuch.
3: Offering is made"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!")
4: battery: 3-5-3
5: Move onward to next station, preferably mainting a state of mgkl awareness and in silence. It is highly recommended that the participants do what they can to be as physically and mgkly invisible to others as can be managed. We're striving for a state of a very private awareness of our intent and purpose that seems to exist utterly sepaerate from the cares of the mundane physical surroundings and events.
Here are recommended orisons appropriate to the various planets:
"Gracious Venus, swelling with life and desire for vivid abundance, Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, bringing forth the design we here have laid upon this land as life is brought from the mere dust. May your vivacious and willful presence make our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. Daughter of the eldest gods, hail!"
"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!")
"Winged Mercury, god of magick and words--Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, energizing and organizing our work here within this land. May your fluid and thoughtful presence make our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. Bringer of madness and sanity, beloved of the gods, hail!"
"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!")
Passionate and changeful Moon, Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, bringing the tides of the Sun's benificence upon our work here within this land. May your swelling and subsiding power be the engine to make our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. Constant companion, blest of the gods, hail!"
"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!")
"Fiery and enthusiastic Mars, Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, engineering and strengthening our work here within this land. Maker of comrades and voice of the people, make our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. Strongest of the gods, hail!"
"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!")
"Magnificent and benificent Jove, Hail! We call upon you to work your will upon our art, expanding upon and organizing our work here under the sky. May your judicious and benevolent presence our desires manifest and serve the grand purpose for which it was created. May you find harmony with the Sun in promoting the equilibrium brought by that blessed source. King of the gods, lord of the sky-- hail!"
"This token of your potency is given that your presence may dwell in this place firmly, anchoring your presence here and binding it to your wandering path in the myriad Stars! (Hebrew Name + "Strength!)
When the last station is reached, the astral "scouts" are rejoined as the battery is sounded, just prior to the orison. Offeratory and orison complete, proceed to the center, reveal the key(3), then strike battery of 6, giving this orison:
"Life giving sun, child of Creation's Lord! Pour down upon this land and upon our heads the maginificence of light and life that is uniquely yours! Father of Gods and of men, bring harmony to your family above and to their efforts in this work we have undertaken below. Let all feel your bounty, but let none be overburdened thereby. Establish in this place and in our hearts the true center that only you can divulge. (Hebrew name + Strength!)"
The sun is visualized as being called down into the device which serves to distribute the bounty each to it's appropriate sphere, with all excess "bounty" flowing out to and through the intersected areas of the diagram and on into the surrounding countryside. One need not imagine that it goes as far south as California... Thus, each point will effectively be a temple to the particular god in question and may be used as such. The key peice is considered highly charged and should only be revealed in works relating to this structure. It should be prersent at all astral workings related hereto and also at any physical woprking taking place at the sun's position in the diagram.
Planetary altar notes: these altars need not be formal and should, in fact, be hidden, recognizeable only to those in the know. They should be as permanent as the circumstances allow, but it is a fact that their disturbed or lacking physical presence doesn't in any way corrupt them. They need to be refreshed from time to time anyway. Also, they needn't be situated precisely at the point where the marker tag may be located, but might be removed a few score yards.
Note that planetary magick can be carried on in situ or objects left at a given altar might be temporarily relocated to one's own temple, then returned as tho' charged.
Remote workings:A purely astral working may be rendered in which the one, or one's party walks the lines of the diagram in a ritual remote from any of the points, and, perhaps, not even near the device itself, but one shouldn't stretch it far and expect profound results. In crafting this, the Key is map-oriented and used as a visual aid and to imbue the work with some of the stored stored energy. Charged samples from each of the points might also be present, so it is important to be able to recapture objects left at the planetary altars.
No remote working should be undertaken until all physical invocations have taken place and never under any circumstance where the device has been partially or fully decommissioned by it's custodians.
1: It could come about that each of all six points (plus the 7th in the center) might sport an impromptu "altar" or offeratory as would develop over a number of visits. The machine would most certainly be charged by circumambulation and presentation of symbols/gifts along with a brief rite at each place and occaision. Whether these were walked in a circular fashion or after the triangles, or by some other pattern will be determined as neccessity.
(2) This key shoud be oriented to the compass and/or the actual diagram each time it is used in any capacity.
The above script, written by Frater A, formed the basis for the planetary chargings which took place over the summer and attended by Frater A, Magnus Po and Sorer E.
