BIOGRAPHY

Jim
I was born and raised in Southern California. Graduated from high school in early 1943 and went into the U.S. Marine Corps. Served for a time in the OSS before joining the 2nd Marine Division at Saipan. During the Battle of Okinawa, was a BARman. Just prior to VJ Day, assigned to S-2 battalion intelligence and took part in the original occupation of Japan at Nagasaki for the first year of the occupation. Visited most of the major cities of Japan, including Hiroshima and Tokyo.

Upon discharge worked at various jobs including one year as a police officer at Avalon, Catalina Island. Attended college for one year. When the Korean War broke out, was recalled to active duty with the 1st Marine Division. Took part inthe fighting as a rifle- squad leader from the Inchon Landing, September, 1950, until the end of "Operation Killer," May, 1951. Was released from active duty with a Purple Heart and a desire to teach school.

Went back to college, got married, had 4 children, received my BA and a teaching credential. Taught school for 30plus years, and wrote a civics workbook President Eisenhower placed in his Presidential Library in Abilene,KS.

Retired in 1986 and began a series of short-term lay missionary trips to Central America [4], Russia [2], and one each to Israel and Korea. For the past 5 years, I worked as a movie/TV extra. I have been on earth 72 years and on the computer/internet 2 years.

I think a lot and write A little. Still hope to influence the WWW 'student body' to CHOOSE Y'shua Jesus TODAY - for in Him is Liberty. Recently, I was involved in a prison ministry out of a local church. Presently live in Santa Maria, CA USA.

P.S. The Lord revealed Himself to me during the 1950 fighting in Korea. I have been His Marine ever since. Praise the Lord!
