Rainbow Dragon (An eco-pagan network)

The first meeting of Rainbow Dragon was held on Sunday 14th November at Cooper Park in Bondi Junction. Cooper Park is a special piece of bushland minutes from Bondi Junction train station. We met in a gully surrounded by tall trees, flowing streams and under the watchful eyes of kookaburras and currawongs. Eight people from very different backgrounds and paths all met under the shade of the park trees. There was plenty of discussion about the sorts of environmental issues that effect us in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and the world!! The idea of Rainbow Dragon is to create a network of environmentally active Pagans who will seek to work for the protection of the earth from environmental degredation. And yes, this means getting in and getting your hands dirty! If you would like more information about Dragon, please get in touch.

South East Forests Update

The South Coast Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) will be completed soon. This agreement will determine which areas of the south coast forests are protected and which are to be opened up for logging and woodchipping. This agreement will last 20 years. It is important that the old growth forests are protected and the Wilderness Society are encouraging people to write letters to the Minister and Premier to encourage the saving of old growth forests.
