Judgement Day

-- May Tsay --

Years gone by with the world's turning
fears brought on through stomach's churning

Arms outspread to catch the lightening
cracking streaks, loud and frightening

Turning round, blocking whips
hair covering trembling lips

Fingers tightening around our necks
those regretting unlawful sex

All will burn in flaming fire
murderer, thief, and the liar

Sky is falling over our heads
and here we lie in our beds

Blankets raised to rolling eyes
fists upheld to unyielding cries

Corpses rise to take their place
most of them with blackened face

All assemble in their lines
ankles chained for their fines

They were warned but did not heed
here they pay for each deed

Tossed in cells of dancing flame
the devil's laughing at their shame

For the few with faces light
nevermore knowing fright

Brought to gardens of delight
tasting sweetness with each bite

Dancing and playing to heart's content
noses inhaling heaven's scent

Garlands of flowers placed in each arm
toys and treasures with which to charm

On every reclining couch there be
lovely maids and knights for eyes to see

But as they begin eternal play
they hear the moans of those who pay
