A highly placed source reports that there were three people involved. One was a spotter and the other two were involved with the mortar shell. They had a metal pipe and prepared to fire the shell directly at the bus at the prompt of the spotter. The source claims that the ones responsible work directly for Arafat, and all these other names are only to obscure the truth.

Sources at the Israeli inner cabinet meeting say Israel and the Americans know that the perpetrators of this morning's grave attack are Fatah Tanzim personnel. The Palestinians know that Israel knows this fact. They thought they could evade responsibility and that Arafat's ostensible order to stop shooting attacks would clear him of any blame.

This morning's news said that Arafat and the PA were refusing to take the blame for the attack. Last night the Israeli army targeted Fatah headquarters without warning. Arafat expressed outrage, saying Israel is killing Palestinian children. What chutzpah on the day after an Arab attack on an Israeli school bus!
