Meretz MK Zahava Gal-On told Israel wire that the government should immediately order the uprooting of "isolated" Yesha communities such as Netzarim in Gaza and P'sagot in the Benjamin Regional Council of Samaria.

Gal-On stated that the Jews do not have any reason to be there and removing the controversial communities would result in a reduction in Arab hostilities.

Gal-On added that in place of giving Yesha residents emergency orders to report to IDF reserve duty, they should be given orders to evacuate their homes. She stated that with all the difficulties associated with the realities of negotiations, an agreement can be reached with the PLO Authority (PA) but this would not be accomplished without leaving the Yesha communities."
