6 WARS, TERROR & SADDAM'S SCUDS & ARAFAT DECLARES WAR ON ISRAEL:
PA POLICE LYNCH 2 ISRAELI SOLDIERS

by Emanuel A. Winston, a Middle East analyst & commentator

Arafat reminds me of the boy who killed his parents and then claimed mercy because he was an orphan. Has everyone forgotten that Israel faced six wars of intended annihilation plus intermittent terrorism between wars? In brief, the wars may seem intermittent but the killing of the Jews never stopped. Israel was forced to use vast amounts of money on arms that should have and would have gone to advance the normal growth of the nation. Billions were spent on armaments necessary for Israel's defense against hostile neighboring and distant Arab/Muslim countries which could have gone to education, agriculture, environment and benefits to humanity.

Arafat lays claim to anything and everything that comes to his mind. Backing him are Arab leaders, showing their true feelings which are often hidden from the Western media. Each of these nations planned and attempted to destroy this small Jewish nation. With each attack came a loss of land which the Arabs gambled on wining in the wars they initiated. Each time they lost, they refused to discuss peace. "No! No! No!" was their mantra. Even when land was returned, as with the Sinai to Egypt, there was no grateful partner. In fact, as they took back land they had lost in wars they started, their hatred grew. Their vaunted Arab pride was injured and only the violent re-conquest of the land would serve to erase that blow to their manhood.

The West, particularly a biased media, could never come to grips with the Arab testicle-driven society nor could the media comprehend why the Arabs would not settle for a negotiated peace agreement, signed on paper. Arafat and each Arab leaders needed a war with Israel and her defeat. No one was more anxious for this war and Israel's defeat than the Muslim clerics. Their entire basis of faith in Islam and its prophecies of Islamic domination over all the world guide their everyday life. Being defeated by the ancient Jewish tribe and their perceived spiritual nemesis caused them great Shame. The media cannot and will not recognize the underlying religious matrix of the conflict and the radical Islamic beliefs which drive their 'Jihad'.

Radical Arab Islamists cannot tolerate the challenge of a Jewish presence which somehow (in their minds) diminishes their claim to be the only correct religion. The operative long range publicly declared goals are: First the Saturday people; then the Sunday people - i.e., First the Jews; then the Christians. Surely, the attacks across the entire Arab Crescent against Christians must send a message as to the true attitudes of Muslims towards Christians as well as Jews. PLO persecution of Christians has resulted in a substantial Christian emigration, transforming Bethlehem and Ramallah from 80% Christian centers to 80% dominated Muslim towns. East Jerusalem Arabs - fearing PLO control, flood Israel's Interior Ministry with requests for Israeli ID cards. (1)

Arafat hurls his people in human waves, knowing that there will be casualties. Children first, older young men slightly behind and Arafat's Policemen with illegal automatic machine guns behind them. Casualties are desirable (to Arafat's goals) and the younger, the better and the more, the better. TV films are Arafat's PR opportunity. The Jews have never quite learned how to pull a CNN crew over to the site of a suicide bombing to film the grizzly pieces of flesh being scrapped off the walls and street. When teenage hikers are stabbed with dozens of wounds, you could not get CNN, NBC, ABC, BBC or a French crew within a mile of the bodies. But, Arafat and his PR experts know how to call in the TV cameras well before one of their operations or riots. The film crews play the game because they know that their station managers want this bloody and saleable footage. They call Israel the Goliath and the Arabs are David.

The United Nations reflect a similar pattern. Even as they are given exquisite precise detail of the pre-planning of the coordinated riots, it made absolutely no difference. Just as they have found it impossible to condemn the practice of slavery in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Kuwait and the other Gulf Oil States so, too, on balance they condemn Israel in hundreds of votes. Some of those voting nations have themselves a record of corruption, torture, unprovoked war on their own people, leading to fratricide and genocide.

But Kofi Annan comes to Israel and says that, "WE, the United Nations will be a fair mediator. Strangely, for the first time, I found myself in agreement with Pat Buchanan when he said that: "If I became President, I would give the U.N. 24 hour notice to get out of the country and, if they didn't move fast enough, I would send in troops to help them pack."

The fact is that Clinton urged a compliant Barak to give more than Israel could give and survive . It worked so well that Arafat ramped up their expectations to dizzying heights. After the 6 Day War, 1967 Moshe Dayan (who professed no attachment to Judaism) gave the top of the Temple Mount over to Muslim/Arab control. This fatal error has come back to haunt the Jewish nation. Slowly, they built a gift from Moshe Dayan into a complete, inalienable right -even to the point of excluding any Jews from entering the Mountain where the Jewish First and Second Temples preceded Islam by a few thousand years. No problem for Islamic revisionists. Since they already knew that Abraham, Moses, Joseph and Jesus were really Muslims, clearly the Temple Mount of King Solomon was theirs. While that revision of history was bad enough, the nations and the Western media genuflected to the claim, knowing it was a large case of primitive B.S.

With respect to the rioting and Arafat's 'Green Lights', no other nation would have accepted such destructive violence. Yes, in the U.S., France, Russia the troops would have been called out in force. They would have fought to win. In the Arab nations such rioting would have been met with heavy machine guns, artillery, and, in some cases (Syria, particularly ) poison gas.

Egypt and Iraq used all of these methods. Assad of Syria killed off 20,000 of his own people in the town of Hama for opposing his tyrannical rule. Saddam Hussein of Iraq used mustard gas and Sarin on the Kurdish minority in his country and Iranian soldiers in the Iran/Iraq war. Egypt's Gamal Abdel Nasser used poison gas in the Sudan. Yet, Arafat and the Arab leaders complain that Israel uses excessive force in putting down riots called for by Arafat. I must admit that Saeb Erekat and Hanan Ashwari are superb liars - far better than the inept Jews sent to respond on the Ted Koppel NIGHTLINE show.

(I am also reminded of the first Ted Koppel NIGHTLINE show from Israel back in the 1980s, where Hanan made her debut as prime propaganda mouthpiece of the PLO, where the Palestinians insisted on a white picket fence be erected on stage between them and the Jews, and where I heard a woman Israeli professor say "I could kill that kid" about an American kid who made a good point against the Palestinians. I was standing next to her.)

If the Arabs had succeeded in any of their Six Wars, Israel would have been leveled and all captured Jews would have been put to death in a promised orgy of torture. That continuum of war did not end in 1973 nor after the Gulf War's 39 SCUDS. The Arabs merely hunkered down to re-equip and try again.

That is what happened yesterday. Today, October 12:

ARAFAT DECLARES WAR ON ISRAEL: PA POLICE LYNCH 2 ISRAELI SOLDIERS

This Just In: Gerald Kessel of CNN reports that four Israeli soldiers mistakenly entered the PA controlled town of Ramallah and ran into a Palestinian Police road block. The four soldiers were taken to the Palestinian Police station, where a mob entered and killed 2 of the Israelis and proceeded to parade their bodies through Ramallah (as the Muslim have done before with our MIAs captured at Sultan Yakub and with Ron Arad in Beirut). Kessel stuttered and found it difficult to provide the news since, like his cohort Walter Rogers of CNN, they have shown themselves to be extremely hostile to Israeli Jews. So, in order to take the sting out of this atrocity, Kessel brought on a Palestinian reporter who was given a long opportunity to create a 'balance' wherein the brutal killings by beatings in Ramallah was really not so bad. (2)

There is no word yet on the other 2 Israelis soldiers or of the three Israeli soldiers wounded and captured by Hezb'Allah on the Lebanese border.

The bloodthirsty PA Police assisted a mob to lynch 2 reserve Israeli soldiers (of three) who accidentally entered Ramallah on October 12th. Television in Israel showed the video over and over again of an Israeli soldier, thrown out of the second floor window of the PA Police Station, onto his head, where the crowd was filmed stamping on, stabbing and beating with the edge of a large window while celebrating the bloody death of a Jewish soldier. We didn't see the deaths of the other soldiers.

Arafat declared that "We must continue our march to a Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital." This is Arafat's ongoing declaration of war. (3)

Iraq moved 15,000 Hammurabi Division Presidential Guards to its border with Jordan, with the goal to "liberate Palestine and Jerusalem". Half a million Iraqis volunteered to fight along side the Palestinians. What does this portend for peace or war? (4)

Israel fired on Arafat's PA headquarters in Ramallah and in Gaza after giving them a 3 hour warning to evacuate. Israel runs a very humane war but does she still fight to win? That is the life and death question. When a former Chief of Staff and most highly decorated General says: "I don't know if we are at war" as he did on Israeli radio Thursday night, October 12, you have to wonder if the "Fight to Win" spirit exists at the top of the Israeli government as I am sure it thrives amongst its citizens and civilian army.

The U.S.S. Cole, an American Aegis destroyer off of Aden, Yemen was hit by a suicide bomber leaving a 12 meter hole in her hull with 4 sailors dead, 5 seriously wounded, 31 injured and 10 missing and believed dead. The Pentagon believes that Osama Bin Laden is culpable for this blatant act of war by a self-proclaimed Islamic Radical Fundamentalist Terror leader. (5)

Palestinian Arabs attacked the one remaining ancient synagogue Shalom Al Israel in Jericho, while PA 'security forces' let it burn to the ground. The Synagogue is under the protection of the PA in accordance with the Interim Agreement. (6)

The PA released 12 Terrorists they had held in jail, including those responsible for implementing the Dizengoff terror attack that killed 3 women, include one unborn child at the Appropo Cafe.

WHAT TO EXPECT NOW

Barak will agree to more concessions based on promises by Arafat to speak to his people about peace. The Left will now bemoan the fact that, in the face of such thinly disguised rage and pure hatred, perhaps they have to rethink their position. The Left, like Arafat, will play to the audience until there are again no outward signs of hatred. They must appear 'momentarily' concerned, as if they are considering slowing their plunge of self-destruction off the cliff. This will pacify the general Jewish population, both in Israel and the U.S.

Then Arafat, Barak, Clinton, Peres, Beilin and their gaggle of pacifists will again begin to mouth the same words of Peace Now - Peace Process - as if nothing ever happened between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in the year of the Millennium.

The cover-up has already begun as the PLO begins to re-build the walls of Joseph's Tomb, which they destroyed - for the cameras. They also painted its roof green (the superstitious Muslim color against the Evil Eye) and plan to turn it into a mosque - where they will not allow Jews enter - as they intend for the Temple Mount and the Cave of the Machpelah, the sacred burial cave of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah.

The consistently untrustworthy U.N. will insist on setting new rules as Peace Keepers.

But, these violent riots, this mini-war stripped something away from the years of concessions and gestures for building the Arabs confidence for peace. The ordinary Israelis and American Jews finally saw the face of hate that has never diminished.

All of the prisoners releases of Terrorists, all of the withdrawals from vital territory, water and Jewish Holy Sites, all of the secret and non-secret payments to Arafat of hundreds of millions of American taxpayers' dollars (and Western donor monies) - in the end bought nothing. Regardless, Barak, in spite of his failures and disregarding the facts of an uprising seems poised to finalize the myriads of concessions made at Camp David II.

It's time for the people of America and Israel to unite to fight International Terror as our leaders have abandoned us.
