Welcome to the Tiger's Alcove! I know, I know, Tigers don't live in Alcoves. We're not your ordinary Tigers here in Fleetwood. We are always trying to be different. Plus Tiger's Den just sounded too ordinary to me.
Anyway, enough about this websites name, let's talk about why I built it and what it means for you. If you are an educator then this site will provide you with a plethora of subject related sites to help you design and/or adapt your current curriculum. It may even help you enhance the lessons you are teaching now. In the technological world in which we are now living, students are going to have to face a growing information age. Why not help them by incorporating the Internet into your lessons.
If you are a student, then you may find some information here to help you complete assignments, or just to learn more about a favorite subject. Parents are also welcome to surf the web, and I am sure you kids out there can help them out if they get stuck.
It's my hope that this site will help enhance education in the classroom and beyond. We have to become life long learners, and what better way to do that than to have access to the fastest growing source of up-to-the-minute information. Remember though, the library is not obsolete, use of the web alone to complete assignments is not allowing you to get the whole story of any subject. Print media is still an important part of education, and should always stay that way.
Finally, I do my best to check out and screen all of the web sites listed here, but I have to admit I have not visited all of them and will not vouch for the validity of them all. Keep in mind a number of factors that will let you know if these sites are truly helpful or not.

| Is this page commercial, informational, or both? |
Make sure to check for Bias:
| Is there any affiliation that could affect their opinions? |
| Is the language and terminology correct? |
| How well are the visual images displayed? |
