Claudius

This particular Act and Scene takes place in the castle, inside like the entertainment room. Where their eating and having a feast. There's wine being thrown around like water, Flags, Fencing matches, jokers(clowns, jesters). The place is all fun and games, and laughing. The people are having a little get together. It's dark and cool breezy air. It's time when the whole parade of people are just hanging out and having a good time. The action before was a death of a beloved one. Also the play within the play, MouseTrap. Claudius is trying to seem like nothing is wrong. The action that preceeds this is a sensory reality. The smell of the room is wine, food, and love. There is a weird sence of love in the air.Their is a slight feeling of something being wrong also. The dizzy and light headed people are in the mood of loving. Claudius just wants Hamlet to be this little good guy step son. Only that this is not going to happen. Claudius has wanted this since he took over as King. The best thing that could happen would be that Hamlet is no more. The obstacle for Claudius is to take over as King with no smack from anyone. Get Hamlet out of the way he is his biggest obstacle. He wants it from Hamlet. The Queen and Hamlet, and friends. Hamlet and Horatio can hurt him. His deepest fear is dying from the sword of Hamlet. The only way that he can get rid of Hamlet is by killing him. He can threaten Polonias, Osric, and Laertes. The power excites me. I will start making a few changes. His objective is to be King without people saying things and to kill Hamlet.

General Character Analysis
Well so far King Claudius has been made fun of, mocked, and laughed at. He is being pushed around by Hamlet. First in the play MouseTrap. Now this little fencing act. He is also getting hot headed with his authority too. Now Hamlet on the other hand is trying hard to escape from the castle. His mother drinks poison , after being caught up in the plot to kill Hamlet at the fencing match. Hamlet is cut by Laertes with a poisoned sword. He also take up fencing to defend himself. Laertes is trying to be all cool talking to Hamlet before their "friendly" fencing match. The Queen warns Hamlet of the poison in the drink that Claudius toasted with. After the Queen is dead Laertes starts to die from the stab wound inflicted by Hamlet with his own sword. Hamlet gets mad and kills Claudius. The end result is the dying of Hamlet, and the almost suicide of Horatio. When Hamlet dies, the castle is overthrown by Fortinbras.
