Developed a Social Studies curriculum for grades 8-12 at
Rift Valley Academy in Kenya, East Africa.

Jenkintown School District in both 1990 and 1993.
Awarded a Fulbright-Hayes Scholarship (China) in 2001.

Traveled extensively in East Africa - experiences range
from canoeing down the Nile River in Uganda to reaching
Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Have had a variety of experiences in western Europe
including travels in Soviet Russia and a recent hiking
adventure in the Swiss Alps.
Traveled throughout India from the Taj Mahal to the City
of Joy in Calcutta.
Traveled throughout China from the Forbidden City
in Beijing to the terra cotta underground army in Xian.
Have had considerable contact with people in traditional
settings including the Pokot of northern Kenya, the
Maasai of the Great Rift Valley, and the Navajos in
northwest New Mexico.
Have first-hand experienced political upheaval ranging
from the Solidarity uprising in Poland to the Intifada
in Jerusalem.
Have been employed as a wilderness canoe guide in the
Northwoods of Canada.
