History
Police scientist Barry Allen idolized the Flash, the nearly forgotten champion of an earlier generation...and yet, the two men could not have been more different. He wished he could move faster..and one night, when a bolt of lightning cascaded upon him a shower of electrified chemicals, he realized his dream. Becoming one of the first of a new generation of heroes, Barry--who adopted the Flash name--was a founding member of the original Justice League of America and protected Central City, sister city to the previous Flash's Keystone, from crime and disaster. Tragically, Barry's carrer was cut short by a cosmic disaster known simply as the Crisis; after a brife time in the 30th century, during which he fathered twins, Barry gave his life to prevent the destruction of all reality at the hands of the sinister Anti-Monitor.
