Catholic Church | "Though an interpretation of the Scripture might have become common among Catholics for centuries, even many centuries, it does not herefore become traditional in the sense that a later Catholic cannot contradict it. Catholic interpreters could err in the past just as they can err in the present, and often the interpreters of the past lacked adequate means to arrive at a sound evaluation of the Scriptures' meaning." Scriptures | And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. ~Deuteronomy 18:21-22 |
Comments | The scriptures state that the words of a true prophet will come to pass. A "prophet" who
speaks in error is to be rejected. Test the scriptures, there are no errors found. To
date, literally hundreds of Biblical prophecies have come to pass. Not one
prophecy of the scripture has remained unfulfilled.* The Catholic Church claims authority over the scriptures; claims that she holds
the copyright to the Bible; and that she is infallible and indefectible. Then, she admits that she can err
in interpretation. Not only is this a contradiction, but it is an attempt to obtain
licence to err without protest....without question. With these claims, how can she go wrong? Who can accuse her? * End time prophecies aside |
