After roles in The Faculty and Halloween H20 led fans to crown Hartnett the unofficial Hottie of Horror, he's on his way to earning yet another well - deserved title: hardest-working guy in showbiz, this year, the 21 -year-old will appear in a whopping five movies -O, The Virgin Suicides, Town and Country, Here on Earth and Never Better. While the San Francisco -born actor now lives in New York City, he spent some time last year in Yorkshire, England, cultivating a British accent - and some other talents- for his role as a teenager who yearns to be a competitive hairdresser in the comedy Never Better. " I got a lot of nicks and cuts on my hands," admits the hunky star. "I don't think I'll go near another pair of scissors ever again." Battle scars and long weeks in England may have left him homesick for the States, but he did find comfort hanging with costar Rachel Leigh Cook, who attended the same high school Hartnett did in Minneapolis. But just because the world of die-hard stylists is a long was from those days at South High School doesn't mean the actor couldn't relate: "When you're a teenager, you always want to be the best, no matter what," says Hartnett. "It goes with the territory."
