They came without warning. The morning was cool and the sun shone just as it did any other day. Men and women  left their children and spouses, coffee cup in their hand and cell phone on their belts, for a long day of stocks, bonds, bears, bulls, etc., etc., and made their way to the their prestigious place of work, the World Trade Center. Little did they know that most of them would never see their families again. Terrorists, kamikaze pilots of their own rights, flew their planes into the two tremendous towers and both dissolving into nothing more than a mountain of dust, smoke, and debris in only an hour afterward. They also got the Pentegon, and were foiled on their mission to Camp David by a heroic pilot, however losing the plane, the passengers, and the crew in his valiant attempt. So now I see it, and I still will see it even when I am old and worn, just as those who were able to view the bombing of Pearl Harbor still recall it.  For this attack is the worst ever seen by the United States of America...how can anyone forget?
My Homefront-Thoughts
I keep having to remind myself that what has happened was not a nightmare, lingering far into the day. This is real. America, strong powerful America, has been given a hard blow dropping the economy, putting fear into the heart of its loyal, and sinking it into a wretched war against terrorism. I will not wake up tomorrow and things will be "all better." Just the opposite! Things will become increasingly worse, and we will have to go through major changes if we ever want to go back to the way we were. Personally, I am nervous, frightened, whatever you care to call it; I am just worried about our dearest country. People would say "America can't last much longer."  things of that matter. I never thought it would come true. Will we go into World War III?  I sure hope not. Living in fear is not the way I want to spend the rest of my life. Well, as long as God is in control, we can only pray that things turn out for the better.

In memory of  all the lives lost at the fall of the World Trade Center...

The Feds, the Zeons, the North Koreans, the South Koreans, the Afghans, the Americans, and many many more; one good, one bad, all fighting. Their wars are similar, their reasons, various. Shall we, in our current times, end up like all our previous ancestors (and otherwise)? Will our technology bring our end? We have so much now a days, and if the most powerful end up in enemy hands, we are just as doomed as they would be if we used it against them first. I sure wish I knew how this was going to end. Well, someone gave me this little pointer, not that it means anything: Stay away from the malls on Oct 31st. I'm not saying anything is going to happen, but a friend of a friend of my history teacher's mother got a letter before the 11th saying not to fly on that day and not to go to the malls on Halloween. Oh well. I hope this prediction means diddly. Yipes...(10-14-01)
