Lights! Camera! ACTION! Disney-MGM Studios, "Where Show Buisness Takes Center Stage", was WDW's third theme park. It is symbolized by the Earffel Tower, a water tower with Mousketeer ears on. Dedicated to the glamour and excitement of movie and television making, this park transports guests to Hollywood, New York, and even outer space. It hosts many of Disney's TV specials, is the location of commercial shoots, and even has a radio booth that is regularly broadcast from. A smaller park, it has been growing by leaps and bounds and is home to Walt Disney World's first ever looping roller coaster, a terrifying series of drops down an empty elevator shaft, and an explosive nighttime show starring Mickey Mouse himself. So after you're finished with Makeup and Wardrobe, enter the thrilling world of Disney-MGM Studios!
Trivia:
The idea for Disney-MGM Studios came from a proposed movie pavilion for Epcot. When Imagineers realized there were many more possibilities than they could ever hope to cover in a single attraction, the idea for a new park was born.
The entire front end of the park is WDW's largest hidden Mickey. Take a look for yourself:
