| Hello, everyone, I am very happy to have the opportunity to present "The Robert Ryan Homepage." Robert Ryan (1909-1973) was one of the finest and most distinguished of our American actors. Our perception of him remains rather low-key, but perhaps that is because he himself was low-key.....concentrating on his work rather than the glamour and publicity of it all. According to his friends, he had great humility...rare for an actor. He very rarely attended a premiere or gave interviews. Work was what it was all about to Robert Ryan.
