Ouch. Why did Clemens hit Piazza. Of all the people to hit, by accident or not, why him. If he hit anyone else, it would be that the pitch just got away from him. Piazza batted .590 against Clemens so far, so it looks as if the hit was intentional. I'll give it this: that was one hard pitch, if he was looking to move him off the bag, why throw that damn hard. I don't care too much either way, I just hope that the concussion isn't serious for Piazza. I still don't like the trade that sent Wells, Llyod, and Bush to Toronto for Clemens anyway. Wells will always be a Yankee in my book. Clemens will never be a Yankee, he just wanted that ring, well, he got it. The Yankees have been doing better in the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately Spencer's knee injury turned out to be season ending, he tore his ACL. Ouch. I remember when Alexei Kovalev got the same injury mid-way through the 1996-1997 NHL season. What a tragedy. Anyway, the Yankees are still on top of the AL along with Tornoto and Boston. It doesn't matter who is on the lead right now, but its going to be a tight race down the stretch.
