Never In A Million Years

--------------------------------

Squeals of laughter come from the lounge room and I find I just have to go and see what they are doing. Cordelia is having a girls’ night. The kind they used to have when they were teenagers she told me. I wouldn't know, I haven't ever been to one, and I wasn't going to find out. But there is too much noise for me to not find out what they are actually doing to each other.

I walk out of Cordelia's bedroom where I have been hiding all this time. I go quietly though there really isn't any reason for me to do so. I don't need to worry about being seen, and I doubt any of them will hear me. I don't make a habit of bumping into things.

What I find is amazing. Seven grown women lying around on the floor tickling one another. Just when they all seem to decide to gang up on one person someone else decides the person next to them would be much better to tickle and starts on them. I can't actually pick out who is who in the mess. Along with bodies there seems to be a large amount of cushions that are often being used to hit people.

Is this what it is meant to look like at a girls’ night? Being a male I don't know, though I'm sure grown women don't do this every time they get together. Maybe it is just this group that turn into teenagers whenever they let themselves go.

They are a strange bunch all round. It is Cordelia's house, even just taking her you get the unsual, she is a seer. Something she wasn’t born with but was given by a friend. There are two slayers. From what I've been told these are 'chosen' girls who fight vampires. Add three powerful witches and a vengeance demon and you have one strange mix of people. They are all young, except for the demon, but she still looks it. Something about having her powers taken away a while back.

I have met them all at some point. Apparently most of them live in Sunnydale, the place where Cordelia grew up. She once told me all about her old life.

A loud crash brings my attention back to the girls in the lounge room. Someone had knocked over a table and a bowl full of popcorn fell to the floor. One of the witches takes advantage of this and uses her mind to throw the food at everyone else. Suddenly one of the pillows bursts and feathers fly around. Trust Cordelia to have feather cushions in the lounge.

When the feathers settle enough for me to make out people I can see that two of the witches have stopped fighting and are now kissing. I can't believe they are doing that and no one else is paying any attention to it. Then again, I think they have been together since first year of college, everyone must be used to seeing it. I haven't ever seen two girls kissing.

The red head has the blonde pinned to the ground. Feathers cover them like snow. I can see that they are no longer aware of their surroundings. One of the slayers is creeping up behind them. This should be fun. One thing I have learned about these girls is you should never scare them. Fighting evil like they do, you get reflexes, really good ones. Cordelia has caught me out a time or two with hers.

The whole mood has changed. I can feel tension in the air. Feathers and tension. One or maybe all of the witches are doing something with the feathers to keep them gently floating around… enough to make it like a winter paradise… privacy and romance. Things are quiet. The demon tries to wriggle out the other girl's hold but she is no match for a slayer and a witch. Cordelia is hanging back, watching like me. "Luckiest man alive, well, maybe not alive but hey, enjoy" she whispers in my direction.

Before I have time to work out what she is talking about the dark slayer has her arms around the witch, Willow. I don't know what I expected to see, but Willow turning to kiss the slayer was defiantly not it. The blonde witch, Tara, I think her name is… she didn't seem to mind, all she did was reach out and pull Faith down towards her. They look comfortable together and it makes me wonder if it isn't the first time they have done this. I hear Tara whisper "want to join us?"

"You know you want to!" Willow continued as she leaned forward and kissed Faith again.

I pull my eyes away from them only to notice the other group. The other slayer, Buffy, is laying on the ground, the demon and witch are now holding her down. Before I can wonder what for Cordelia walks past me again with a basket full of things. I'm sure I haven't ever seen them before.

First out of the basket is a can of whipped cream. I watch as she opens Buffy's top and spreads the cream over her chest. I never would have taken Cordelia for someone who would do this. I just cant believe what I'm seeing.

Faith leans back and pulls Cordelia to her, kissing her roughly. Then she turns back to Tara and Willow taking the can from Cordelia’s hand with her.

I watch as Cordelia changes groups and pulls Willow off Tara and starts pulling away clothing.

Unfortunately this is where I faint
