The Mask
If you search hard enough
Deep inside my heart
Though my outer appearance is tough
You'll find a person whose falling apart
Everyday I wear a mask
No one sees through my disguise
It's often been a simple task
Hiding repressed feelings despised
It can be difficult to find a smile
Though there is one upon my face
Stare at my reflection a while
You'll find not a single trace
I can't explain just what I mean
I'm not decieving anyone else
Sooner or later I have to come clean
Because no one can lie to themself
No one really knows my dreams
As if anyone truly could care
As habitual as it may seem
The mask, I wish, I didn't have to wear
Better Person
To all you people who call yourself human
Can't you see what you are doin'
Your ability to condone constant mistakes
Clouds the correct decision to make
Some blame the earth in Natural Selection
But you have to stare at your own reflection
Even the ever-growing population
Gets to a point of graduation
When one knows right from wrong
Even when the lines been drawn
Children are born into this world
An innocent, helpless boy or girl
They depend on us to shape their life
So ends the dreadful pain and strife
Instead of making it a good experience
We turn it into our own perseverance
No one stands up for what is right
You keep true feelings locked up tight
No one realizes you do more harm than good
When you think your feelings are understood
Tell the world your gonna be tough
Letting them know, you've had enough
