Biography
"Autumn are very tight and they show promise..."
So says John Southorn, lead singer of The Jamm. For a longer review see our Home Page, or come to our next gig and make up your own mind!
Autumn was formed in 1998, with the current line-up getting together in late summer of that year.

The band is influenced by the likes of The Small Faces, The Who, Paul Weller and Mod Revival.

A selection of past gigs include:

May 3rd 1999; The Bull & Gate, Kentish Town.
July 7th 1999; The Bull & Gate, Kentish Town.
August 24th 1999; The Bull & Gate, Kentish Town.
October 28th 1999; The Standard, Walthamstow: now infamous for its guitar strap incidents...
November 11th 1999; The Standard, Walthamstow: the 'dropped plectrum' gig...
December 7th 1999; The Bull & Gate, Kentish Town.
July 5th 2000; The Bricklayers Arms, Forest Hill.
August 10th 2000; Gossips, Soho. 48 people came armed with  Autumn flyers - a great night. Thanks to all those who came.
September 19th 2000; Dingwalls, Camden Lock, London.
September 20th 2000; The Foresters Arms, Forest Hill: Al and Rob do the Acoustic thing!
October 19th 2000; The Rhythm Factory, Whitechapel. Supporting Jam tribute band The Jamm, this was surely the band's best gig yet, playing to a sell-out audience of around 350. Favorable reviews all round. A big thanks to those that came, especially those that bought the CD! Read a review on our home page.
November 5th 2000; Ruskin Arms, East Ham. Autumn's first mod all-dayer, and what a day it was. Another thanks to those that braved the appalling weather and to those that handed over their hard-earned notes for one of our EPs. "Remember remember the 5th of November" - we know we will!
December 7th 2000; Gossips, Soho. Another great turnout and we had a great time. Thanks to all those who turned up - we really appreciate your support!
February 21st 2001; Judging by the reaction one of Autumn's best gigs to date. The Gremlins were out in force however when they unplugged Rob's bass in the last song for a few bars!!
< Thanks to all those that voted for us in the battle of the bands at Burbs.org.uk: we fended off stiff competition from the other 5 nominees to take the award. Not quite the same as appearing on Top of The Pops, but still a nice accolade!
