These files are zipped. You will need WinZip or a similar program to open them. Download them to your computer remembering where it is putting the download file. Once they are downloaded, they need to be unzipped INTO VPlaces folder. If you aren't sure where that is do a file/folder search
START--FIND--FILES/FOLDERS For VPlaces.ini (files will need to be in same folder as this, to patch Virtual Places for you. Once the files are all unzipped into the correct folder, make sure VP chat is closed. Now double click each patch and follow install instructions for each one you downloaded. They should all say "successfully patched" Once you've installed them you can log back in to Virtual Places Chat. For mega head.. look under games.
