Ingredients
6-8 Cups hot cooked rice
225g thin-sliced beef
2 long onions or 1 medium round onion
3 Tbsps olive oil

Sauce
1 cup water
1/3 cup dark soy sauce
1/3 cup mirin
2 Tbsps fresh ginger juice

Preparation
Boil plain white rice.
Have butcher cut beef into paper-thin slices.
Cut these into 5cm lengths.
Slice round onions.

Cooking
Heat 3 Tbsps of olive oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
Stir-fry onions for a few minutes till soft.
Add beef slices and continue to stir-frying until meat is not red.
Add sauce and continue stir-frying for a minute.
Remove from heat and stir in ginger juice.

Assembling
Scoop 1.5-2 cups of rice into individual donburi bowls.
Cover rice with stir-fried beef and onions.
Moisten with a few Tbsps of sauce.
Serve immediately.
