| Dear Letters Editor: After participating in two Palmdale City Council forums I am amazed at how may people think government can help them. They just don't get that fact that what government gives you from one hand it takes with the other. Every time you see a City of Palmdale property or development, like the Cultural Center or the Sierra Highway fence, image that it's constructed with hundreds of braces deferred, tires not replaced, vehicles not fixed, roofs not repaired, homes not painted, lawns not mowed, trees not trimmed and businesses not started.
