Founded on October 28, 1964, Its objective is to produce engineers who have enough basic engineering knowledge so they might be able to develop themselves, able participate in the development of their country, and aware of their society's problem in general.

The civil engineers produced are expected to use their expertise in the following field :

  • Planning, operation, maintenance, and management of infrastructure development in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Implementation and development of technology that suits the environment.
  • The use of system analyze for complex problems which need multidisciplinary solutions.
