Puskom stands for Pusat
Komputer which means Computer Centre. Its existance is
necessary to support research and education activities in
FTUI. There are three main purpose of Puskom :
- Education &
Research activities for students
- Research activities
for education staffs
- Administration
activities.
Puskom has two computer
Lab, one in Salemba Campus and a larger one in Depok
Campus. Those labs are equipped with local area network
interconnecting a number of PCs. The LAN in Depok Campus
computer lab is also connected to the university's Wide
Area Network and the Internet.
Various kind of computer
equipment is provided in Puskom. Some of them are :
- 4 PC servers with
Pentium Pro Processor, ± 65 PCs with Pentium
processor and ± 40 PC with older processors.
- CD-ROM server, CD-ROM
writer.
- 2 laser printers, dot
matrix printers, and plotters.
- Flatbed Scanners.
- All high-end and
medium-end PCs is equipped with up-to-date
softwares, operating systems, and CAD tools.
