in 1985, this departments is the unification of gas
engineering major in Metallurgy department and chemical
engineering major in mechanical department.The produced engineers from this department are expected to have capabilities as design and process engineers in industries, especially those in the field of gas and petrochemical processing and production; and also capabilities to develop their field of science.
