Tbilisi is filled with cool art.

Here's a typical Georgian statue.

On the right is the inside of a Georgian church - there are probably hundreds of churches in Tbilisi, and by all reports, they're wall-to-wall with paintings and statues just like this and even more ornate and interesting.

Like most other countries around here, Georgia has a secessionist area - it's called Abkhazia and the rebels there, armed by Russia, drove around a quarter of a million Georgians out. These refugees, or "internally displaced persons" as they're called in aid-relief lingo, took up residence in some of the bigger hotels of Tbilisi. Here's one of them, with a statue of King David the Builder appropriately guarding the entrance.

There's also a McDonald's.

We climbed to the fort that used to guard the city. There was a great view and we were happy to get there.
