Ok Ok Ok,
At tonight's County Meeting we'll finish the paperwork. I hope I can get Tim
Weaver to come to help with the form info.
We'll go with Buttrick's 100 word discription and Tim will have the final
version of the wording tonight of the accual initiative.
Soooo, I guess we file tomorrow. My main goal is to file it BEFORE I tape
the TV10 Debate tomorrow at 2pm.
I hope Lee Petitions gets hold of McDermott by then too (said he would).
Well the Tax Research Assoc. blew me off yesterday, "Sorry, Mr. McCarthy
can't meet with you today.... etc. etc."
I did have a very informative meeting with Kevin Ross (Maricopa County
Assessor) this morning. Long story short (wipe that grin off your face
Doogie :) Ross wishes to seek statewide office (Treasurer or Sec of St) and
will do so outside of the "Hull Coalition" He's looking to tie in with Carol
Springer and/or Matt Salmon in their races for Governor (yes, Carol may run
for Governor). He's had it pretty easy over his last two elections
(unopossed last time) and hasn't really faced the beast yet and forced to
make a decision. My main message on the subject was that when politicians
get into his position with the ego that convinces them that they are needed
to right the wrongs and that the little people would be better served with
him in office as opposed to the other "bad guys",.. what is he willing to
give up in the fight for freedom to make sure we were blessed with the honor
of his service,... Etc. He tried to make it very clear how he has organized
his support sothat he wouldn't be forced to make that decision,... but he
didn't say what he would do if presented with the scenario I gave.
Personally I liked him far more than most politicians and he is definately
aware that he is riding a fiscally conservative wave that he believes that
we helped create. The idea that we do not seek office over freedom
definately made things clearer to him. The willingness that we have to let
the R's and/or D's take credit for freedom advances while we continue with
our total freedom mantra was very clear to him and he immediately understood
that the socialist were doing the same thing for the D's on the left. He was
very aware of our tactics to get issues out in the press that would
otherwise not get ink (Voter's Data on the internet, baseball stadium etc.)
He has yet to be truly tested in my opinion,... we'll see.
Derrick Lee just left with my money so we better get something for him to do
right away.
