guess i am not able to be clear sorry
1. NO, even if bond failed or wasn't scheduled, your taxes wouldn't
be lowered.
2. NO, not a new tax, the "old" tax you reference hasn't expired .
3. the ability to raise or lower taxes at any government level
exists, with or without the bond election....the question should be do
you want the items proposed or not and the majority of the voters will
decide... i don't recall any case where the city has seized a
property for not paying property taxes.. other governmental entities
auction off tax liens and then some people may or may not lose their
property thru foreclosure,,,,but not from the city.
on a personal note, while we may and seem to disagree on this, i will
always give you my position and not duck a question,,,you seem to
question my personal integrity, which is your right, but i'd ask you
to do it with language that avoids such phrases as "tough s..t."
sincerly
phil

so i think what your saying is
1) if the bonds fail my taxes will be lwer?
2) if the bonds pass this will be a new tax
that replace an old expired tax. but it
wont really be a new tax because its
replacing an older tax?
this sounds like double talk for saying
there is a new tax but you people in the
government will just pretend there wasnt
one.
3) that if the bonds do pass that you folks
at the city of phoenix can raise the tax
rates any time you want more money but you
say you wont?
and if you do break your promise raise our
taxes do we have any recourse to force you
to lower the tax or is it just tough shit
you broke your promise, raised the tax, and
we have to pay it or you will seize our
property?
