This is John's response to reading the forward from me of Perry Willis' 20

This is truly a remarkable document. Willis admits without apology
that
he secretly worked to fix the 1996 nomination for Browne while he was
employed
as the LP National Director and then argues (with a straight face yet) that
this
was a good thing because it was self-evident to him that Browne was a
superior
candidate with a superior campaign strategy. He provides no colorable reason
why
he failed to inform anyone on the LNC that he had decided to do this. In
fact,
it's pretty clear that he had no intention ever o disclose any of this
unless
he was caught red handed (which he was five years later).
I have one question: Were Willis' activities known to anyone else employed by the LP or on the LNC in the 1995-1996 time frame? If so, that should be disclosed and those people dealt with now (better late than never).
This whole thing stinks to high heaven.
