The cave you enter is very misty and full of light. You look above you through thin curls of mist and see long, thin windows, like slits cut in the cavern wall to let in the sun. The light reflects off the mist and forms a spinning world of jewels aroung you, making you a little claustrophobic, but even more amazed by the beauty of it all.
You walk slowly through the mists. You can tell the cavern is huge, but you've heard it's inhabitabts are as well! As you continue, the mist thins and withers away, leaving you dazzled at the immense size of things before you. Not only is the cavern gargantuan, but there are gargantuan things here as well. It takes a moment for you to register that the huge animals before you are the Gryphons, what you came there to see!
"I am Rilth," says the large black male. He pads toward you, silent across the marble floor of the cave, and presents his paw, which is twice the size of your head. You baned you head and kiss the pad of his foot, as you know is the custom when greating a Gryphon for the first time. He bands down toward you, and give you his own greeting, licking your face like a monstrous dog! "Greetings...I have just learned the human tongue, I hope I do well. How do you like the cave? Newly built. We lived in the main Aviary with the other until we grew too large to live out there - then we got or own cave!"
Another Gryphon, purple this time and perhaps a little smaller, comes toward you from the far end of the long cavern. "I am Miasath, mate to my beloved Rilth." Her voice is not as deep as Rilth's, but it's timbre still makes the pebbles on the floor vibrate. You greet her the same as you did Rilth, but in return, she bows to you, spreading her wings high above her very ceremoniusly. You bow in return.
She continues...."I and Rilth have been together for almost a year now. It is now the time when all our friends argering us toward mairrage. Rilth proposed yesterday and I said YES! We are both very excited! Once we are officially joined, we can have a child!"
Rilth smile and nuzzles Miasath affectionately. "You are welcome to come back and see the egg and baby when they arrive," he says. You may also like to see our photo album - us while we were growing up! Just look at it below!
