You exit from the mountain by way of a corridor. All along its walls are carvings and paintings of fish, sharks, whales so beautiful that your breath is taken away. As youe exit, you are surprised to find yourself on a rock ledge overlooking a beautiful seascape and two lagoons side-by-side. One lagoon, the fresh water one, is fed by a mountain stream. The other, saltwater, lagoon is fed by a steady flow of ocean water from a man-made canal.

The Freshwater Lagoon

BLUB! On the banks of the lagoon you see a very surprising family - Hippos! They seem happy, playing and splashing one another. Their tages state that the mother, on the left, is Bebe. The father, on the left, is Bob, and the baby is Boink! How cute!

All hail the Peace Turtle! This turtle SHOULD be worshpped! He is a bringer of peace wherever he goes! We are in a definite need of peace in this world! Everyone should have a peace turtle! He seems to be doing his job too, because we have not had very many problems here at all!

Welcome this little guy to the ranks of the lagoons! He is Mahal, a puff fish who just recently hatched out of a mystery egg in the Dragon Weyrs Lobby. We thought he'd be some kind of fish and luckily we had a tub of water standing by or he would have been a goner! But he's here and safe - very safe. Thos spikes on his sides aren't just for show! The Saltwater Lagoon

This little dudes are the Fishoids. They keep changing colors on us, so we can't name'em! So, they are simply the Fishoids. They love the salty coral reefs in the lagoon. Originally they came from the Great Barrier Reef in the salty oceans around Australia, but now they've come to live here!
