SNOW FLATS
You enter this cave after descending a long flight of stairs and walking a short hallway. As you enter, a gust of freezing air hits you. You are in a cavern full of snow! The light, pure white, seems to come from the inside of the ice itself - everything is glowing crystal! You can hear a sound like water running all around you, outside every wall. Then you realize how this cavern is kept so cool. It is under the sea! The cold water coming down from the artic circle is running just above and all around the giant underwater cave, cooling it to freezing temperatures for the artic residents!

"Hello there," says a quiet voice from a bank of crystal stalagmites. You turn and see the floating being only a few feet away. She floats lightly along the ground, drifting in and out of focus - in and out of reality it seems. He voice resonates off the crystal of the icy dome, floating along with her. "We are underwater here - thousands of feet. It is completely safe though...the magic of the place hold everything together! The arctic adoptees here love the cold, so we had to find the least expensive way to cool everything. I don't know about them, but I am FREEZING! Where I came from, The Mystic Realm, it was always so warm! But I can't complain - I love the animals here and the ice IS so beautiful! Enjoy your stay and try not to notice the cold!" |

| Chill, say these two guys - the first residents of the Tundra. They are two cool critters, living it up in the ice and freezing cold waters. The penguin is Peobody and the Polar Bear is Sherman! They love cartoons - all TV really, and spend most of their time watching themselves play around on the security monitors! These two were adopted at Pengies and Polar Bears! |

This strong, chilly guy, is Ilios, the artic Wolf. He loves the snow and all the other animals here. He swims with the penguins, and lays around in the snow with the polar bears! He came to us when he retired from his former job of guarding the North Pole!

To the North the land becomes...bumpy....and you realize the snow flats give way to rockier land that is equally layed in snow. Odd prints head in the directs...some pawprins and som clawprints. You could follow the prints and investigate, or you could head back toward the Adoptee's Lobby.....
