You enter the weyr and stare down into a deep pool, eyeing a beautiful, almost glowing dragon not three feet below you. The water ripples and the lovely creature surfaces, water skimming off of its slick scales. "'Ello, I am Kwai, names after the bridge in that book. Or at least that's what Azrielen says!" The little guy giggles. "I am one-of-a-kind! And only I can live here, for Az can never bond another. That's why she pampers me, I guess. They dug me this special weyr so that I would always have fresh ocean water, even though we are almost three miles above see level in this place!" The little creature talks hurriedly through its slitted ivory tongue, then you hear a bell gong loudly throughout the Hold. "Meal time!" the creature yells and swims off with a splash, leaving you soaked, standing alone in a messy puddle. |
