THE CHIBI DRAGONS

The second you enter the weyr, five small dragons fly to greet you, speaking in sqeeking, accented voices that are at first hard to understand...then they clear their throats and become much easier to comprehend...

"Hello," says a lovely shining ruby red dragon no longer than you arm fron tip to tail. She continues, "I am the dragoness Siasness, the leader of this group. I am the main breeding female of our flight as well as the eldest. I am the leader here. I will introduce you to the dragons in my flight..." The little queen slips daintily onto a ledge next to a slightly larger male dragon.

"This is Melaqu, my mate. He is a blue oceean dragon and a mage." The little blue dragon squeaks proudly. "His magic remolves around the water and its animals." She snuggles close to the blue, nuzzling him lightly and affectionately.

"This greeny gal is Mystare. She is the lesser female of this group, but is a great leader when I must be away or am egg-heavy. Her mate is the slate blue dragon in the middle, Danyes. He is the hunter of our group. He brings us all our food so that we do not feel too dependant on the nice people of New Beginnings, for we know they are busy enough by far! The last dragon of this cave is Eiken, the brown. He is a lowling in our clan, the lowest in here, who serves as our troubador. He sings very nicely and is happy where he is. We love him, even if his birth put him lower than the rest of us!" The little queen flaps her wings and the dragons fly down the hall in the opposite direction as you walk, leaving you to continue on....
