Alquenth's Weyr
This big, strong dragon here is Alquenth, a male water dragon recently adopted from SDF - the Save The Dragons Foundation. He is not like other dragon, namely he is not as intelligent, not having benefited from Mentasynth or the Mental Enhancement Programs most dragons experienced early in their generations. Water dragon contact with humans had been very sparse until just recently, when their numbers were threatened by poaching and SDF had to step in for the safety of the species. This guy is somewhat of a miracle, as are all un-Enhanced Dragon births. There is a much higher risk of infection on fertilization in un-Enhanced species, which leads to a low life expectancy for these species. This guy however, bred at SDF and delivered here as an eggg, has had a loving environment with plenty of food and caretakers. He has developed very healthily and is hearty even though he had a rough childhood due to a harsh hatching - his shell was too hard and had to be broken for him! But, he is here today, a small miracle in a large package and a very lucky and loved dragon!

Alquenth as a juvenile, satisfying his incessant urge to eat. He only liked fish and wanted them all the time! Finally one of the older unicorns taught him how to fish and since them he's eaten ha;f the fish in the ocean it seems! At least he was healthy!
