Skylnyeth, Fyryth, Plumeth,
Flaymyth and Leefyth's Weyr

This big dragoness is lovely Skylnyeth. She is guarding her latest brood of eggs, four of which have hatched already! She came here pregnant and without a mate. We took her in and gave her this lovely cave in which she could raise her young. When they are old enough, they will either move out or they will get theur own weyrs. These dragons grow very slowly tho, so tey will remain with their mother for quite some time now! They are below...come back and see then soon as more babies hatch!

Here are four of Skylnyeth's babies that have already hatched! It isn't uncommon for dragons to choose mates when they first hatch...they are not affected by inbreeding the same way humans are. Even tho these two couples are all related, when they grow up they will be life mates. The couple on the left are Red Fyryth and Purple Plumeth. Fyryth is the male and has been the dominant male so far in this hatching. He seems to be a born leader! Plumeth is his opposite - but as they say oppsites attract - because she is very docile and quiet. I believe they genuinely do like one another, which is very good! The other couple are Yellow/Orange male Flaymyth and his mate, green Leefyth. They are the secondary couple in the hatching. You never know, maybe they will emerge as dominant or another couple will hatch and control the others! We'll see!
