Fliptop Box FLIPTOP BOX is not the typical rock/metal band and I think that their music can be accepted only from persons that have open mind or a variety of taste. They play music for people that new listenings don't scare them. We all have experience in Rock Metal scene .I played in  Bands like FreeFall and Kakes Sinithies , Stavros played in Power and Kourdisto Portokali, Sakis played in Ekon-Akon and Vibrato and Jim played in Karma and Nipto tas Heiras.Marianthi is a beautiful actress who, in the past played in funk rock bands. I formed Fliptop Box at 2003 cause I always wanted to share my thoughts with the other motherfuckers around. 2.WHAT EXACTLY IS THE MEANING OF FLITOPBOX AND DO YOU THINK THAT SOMEONE WHO HASN'T LISTENED TO YOUR MUSIC, CAN GET A HINT OF YOUR MUSICAL STYLE? Fliptop Box means the "hard" package. Some years before you could see it on the cigarettes.We are Hard and we are a package of unbelievers . We hope that when someone read our name; understand in a way the kind of music we are into. 3.NOW, DESCRIBING YOUR MUSIC WAS A REALLY HARD TASK FOR ME, CAUSE I AM NOT USED TO LISTENING SUCH ALBUMS. We play Heavy Rock music with Post Grunge influences. 4.I READ IN YOUR BIO THAT YOU COVER BANDS LIKE  AUDIOSLAVE, GUANNO APES, LACUNA COIL, EVANESCENCE, MONSTER MAGNET, ETC. ARE THESE GROUPS AMONG YOUR INFLUENCES? WHICH OTHER BANDS AND ARTISTS DO YOU CONSIDER AS BIG INLUFNECES FOR YOU? We cover these Bands because we like the songs. Our influences are bands like Danzig, Godsmack and of course Metallica. 5.BEFORE FORMING FLIPTOP BOX YOU PLAYED IN OTHER BANDS, MOST OF THEM BELONGING TO THE GREEK ROCK  BRANCH. WHAT MADE YOU LEAVE FROM THEM AND FORM A BAND THAT USES THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE? I don't believe that " Greek Rock Branch" exists. "Rock Bands that use Greek lyrics " is better. We left these bands cause of the usually problems in Greek scene. Fliptop Box use English language cause is more compatible with our music. 6.HOW DID YOU MEET AND FORMED FLIPTOP BOX? DID YOU KNOW EACH OTHER BEFORE STARTING THE BAND? I knew Stavros and Sakis, Sakis knew Marianthi, Stavros knew Jim e.t.c. 7.NOW TELL ME A FEW TIHNGS REGARDING THE LYRICS. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM? TELL US IN A FEW LINES EACH SONGS TOPIC. I am responsible for the lyrics. "Let's descend" is written when I saw these children in Iraq, the children of war, who looked at me and I felt like they command me to fall. "Evil bringer" is a song of Despair. "Close my eyes" is a song for death. "You found a key for my soul. Let's find a soul for my body first " 8.HAVE YOU SENT THE DEMO TO OTHER ZINES? HOW WAS THE FEEDBACK YOU GOT TILL NOW? IF YOU GET A VERY BAD REVIEW, HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL? We got a bad review from some "true" metallers but who cares. 9.HAVE YOU SENT THE DEMO TO RECORD LABELS? DID YOU ATTRACT THEIR INTEREST? DID YOU HAVE ANY PROPOSALS THIS FAR? We sent it to 3 Greek labels and one of them sent us an e-mail. Tomorrow I will send it to other 9 Greek labels. Only Greek labels. We don't have time to become Rock Stars.. 10.THE COVER ARTWORK AND THE WHOLE LAYOUT OF THE DEMO IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT AND HOW IS IT CONNECTED TO YOUR MUSIC AND LYRICS?
