RZ is but one of my favorite lead singers! I'd say my top five are (and you'll be able to guess what I listened to in the 70s when I was a teenager) Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Steve Walsh, Dennis DeYoung, and our beloved RZ. These are listed in no particular order. What's that? You want me to include Tommy Shaw? No, now he's my favorite guitarist; not my favorite singer. Uh oh...I didn't name Rick Nielsen as my favorite guitarist. Now, don't be miffed! As with the lead vocalists, I have a *list* of favorite guitarists! Calm yourself. No worries. "Don't worry, be sappy!"
Hmmm...now, surely you're wondering about the name of this site, Born In A Red Z. "'Born in a red Z'? He was? What's a 'Z'? Is that a car?" You see how I can read your thoughts? A "Z" does sound like a type of sportscar, doesn't it? Actually, "Born In A Red Z" is an anagram of "Robin Zander". I guess I've been watching my "Rosemary's Baby" DVD too much. That movie stays with me!
I recently formed the Chandler Cheap Trick Meetup Group, because I want to meet Cheap Trick fans! I will write this up on a separate page.
a story I wrote that first appeared in Dana James' Cheap Trickzine, where the hero is a psychic rock musician, named Rain. Rain is modelled after RZ.
