JUST A START

one day i sat before my screen
typed in a nonsense name
and entered into a world of text
never to be the same

who would have thought in this text filled world
filled with faceless, voiceless friends
you would find someone to bring to you
joyous rainbows and happiness without end

now everyday, before my screen
i sit and type and ponder
how some one, i have never seen
could fill my world with wonder

each day a bright beginning
seeming like a rebirth
as a result of meeting someone
so very far from me on this earth

when you listen, people say
you cannot love someone, so very far away
they cannot judge what they do not know
they have no concept of the seeds of love we sow

every day now i am thankfull
each day i say a prayer
for being the one to say hello
at the right time and place being there

and even though, my dear sweet love
beside you i can not be
i know that deep inside your heart
you are standing next to me

so i send my love each and every day
over the miles we are apart
and know that those miles are not ending
my sweet love, but only just a start
